  10. 20k for a Honda that will make power equivalent to a turbo 5.3. It isnt hate, it's just that it holds no advantage for me.
  11. Care to elaborate? Similar power per dollar, not a significant weight advantage (vs turbo Honda), pump gas, and gimped power potential down the road. Junkyard short blocks are comparably priced (4.8s are much cheaper even). Why waste the money on a V6 when you can get the same results out of the box for the same amount of money? If you want more power down the road, you can add the same dirt cheap turbo setup to the 5.3 and make power that you cant get out of the Honda for less than $20k and you're still under $8k for the GM if you're halfway mechanically inclined. If the V6 is being picked because of lighter weight and lower center of gravity, the Subaru would have some advantages but it isnt cheap.
  12. In my opinion, the Hondas and Short Stars dont have anything to offer over a simple 5.3 V8 build. If I was forced to run a V6, I'd probably go with the Subaru due to its compact size.
  13. I picked up replacement carpet for our trailer (8x19.5' to cover it) at Home Depot. I think it ran about $180. I opened up the binding on the front and rear with a wide chisel and reused it on the new carpet leaving the sides like it came from WW (cut with no binding). Snapped to lines for the sides, laid it down, cut out the wheels wells, and then the holes for the tables.
