  1. I'm not disputing your experience, but King bypass and coils are the same for a given stroke length. 2.0"x10" Kings are 17" compressed and 27" extended in both bypass and coil over no matter how many tubes it has. The compressed and extended lengths do change as you change to a 2.5" or 3.0" though.
  2. I contacted him. These shocks sold quite a while ago.
  3. Thanks yes they are the white Saco Delrin bushings. I've got a new set ordered I will use the freezer trick when the time comes. I will definitely be adding a grease zerk fitting at the ends of each beam because on disassembly It was very apparent that some grease would have reduced a whole lot of wear.
  4. Thank you for the replies. Confirms my thoughts. I'll call the supplier today and get the next size up then trim to fit. I may end up keeping this set for mock-up so I don't have to drive out the properly fit set when I send the parts out for powdercoat.
  5. I am trying to piece together a bunch of used parts for a wider beam on my little buggy. I bought a used beam that had all the parts hub to hub with raised Combo spindles and longer arms. The parts turned out to all be really worn out. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I'm going to do with the King pins as Tweed pins are no longer available. Now on to the beam bushings. I'm new to the coil-over type beam set up. I measured the inside diameter of the beam and it was 1.740" so I ordered the Delrin 1.740" bushings. Those bushings basically slide right in. My question is: Should those bushings be a press fit? I would think that I want them to be pressed in and not move allowing the grease hole to stay lined up and the arm to pivot only on the inner surface. Am I wrong? Should I buy the 1.750" bushings and press them in. The beam appears to be a run of the mill 6" wider beam with no shock towers, so I really don't know the manufacture. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
