  2. <<<< '02 Chevy Dmax LT crew cab 4x4 Silverado. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. Its been the most reliable, comfortable, powerful, and all around good peformer I've ever owned. Put quality tires on it (very important in my book), and anything you do to it in the way of a lift will effect the suspension and ride. So choose what you do to it wisely. A friend of mine, whose daddy has tons of dough and can afford to do anything he wants to his trucks, paid a boatload of money on a lift package +++. He rode with me one time and liked the ride of my truck better. What'd you do to it? he asks. Nothing, just good set of shocks from auto zone when the stock ones wore out. BTW - found my truck on e-bay 4 years ago. I had to fly over to Texas to get it but it was worth the trip, and I saved a ton of $$ over a new one.

  4. I almost always keep it at the gas saver level (1). I bump it once in a while to the tow setting if I'm pulling (2). Every now and then I'll put it in 'drive' if I feel like a little gofast or some flatbillers is trying to cut me at a light and I need to blow his doors off (3). But I rarely or never put it on race (4) or extreme (5). Maybe I need to go blow in out once in a while.....
  5. Thanks Chuck... Good site, and after reading some of the forums its probably the injectors.....
  6. I've got an '02 Chevy Duramax LT thats got 147K on it. I plan to keep it until its got 300K on it and then let it go. Its been the best, most reliable vehical that I've ever owned, had scads of power and is as comfortable as my lazyboy. I put an Edge chip in it at 85K along with a 4" pipe and a K/N filter. Alway serviced like clockwork using only synthetic premium blue oil and rotating filters. The problem is that lately it been starting to blow smoke. No noticeable decrease in power or mileage, it just smokes. Kind of a greyish/blue. Sometimes its a lot, sometimes a little. The fuel filter was recently changes with no improvement. Could this be an injector problem? Something else maybe?
  7. Wow - I really enjoyed that. Thanks for an excellant post...
  8. Its more than a few people who want to see if this thing is gonna be a winner or not. Following this thread has been an interesting example of how innovators aren't always good manufacturers. I have more than one friend who are inventors but haven't got a clue on how to turn their inventions into finished product. I hope you get it done Yoshi. I'm still following this with deep interest.

  10. Wow, would you listen to her. ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME! Oh My effing God. If he doesn't bioch slap you for that post alone, please send me your address and I'll do it myself. Jesus! Now let me get this straight. YOU want a sandrail. And you TOLD your husband to put your quad up for sale on Craigslist?? It's obvious that your capable of making a post on the internet, and it is your bike, why didn't you get off your lazy butt and post it yourself (count with me kids, that's smack number 2) You say he's anal? Well speaking of, whens the last time you gave him a "backstage pass" yourself? He's the man, what he does is right. Who in the world do you think you are to question him? If he wants to resotre a tractor, then god willing, so be it. And you should be supportive by making sure he has an ice cold beer in his hands at all times. Do me a favor, take your right hand, reach down your pants and tell me if you feel a dork* and a set of balls. ok....... Didn't think so. Back to the kitchen you go! Cook him a delicious meal, bring that man a beer. And if your mouth ain't shut, it should be wide open, giving him oral sex. Women these days. Sheesh One for the book Doc.... ^^^ I just glad we got off the Red Wings topic....
  11. This thread has take a serious turn for the worse.... And this time it the Docs fault and not Nas99.....
  12. Never, never never...... not goin' there.... But Sol would......
  13. Lol, the windshield bar is to keep quads outta the driver compartment, the v brace in the roof is to keep the front edge of the windshield from pushing back IF a quad hits the windshield brace in the middle, the floor brace to the lower windshield brace is just to tie it all together and add a little more support. [attachmentid=130082] WTF!! If thats your concern then why not just put a snow plow on the front as a bumper....
