I was told by a local/small family owned appliance shop owner that refrigerators are no longer made to last more than 5 to 7 years. He said the same about washers and dryers and that if you want one to last, buy a speed queen, they are the only brand still made with steel parts instead of plastic.

Flat screen tv for toyhauler
Dzrtrat1111 replied to Big_Daddy_Jp's topic in RV, Toy Hauler & Trailer Technical
This was my set up when I had my 5th wheel. Looks like we had different models because my TV was rear of the cabinets. This also was only a 42”. I used 1x4 on the inside and outside of the cabinet to give the mount something to bolt to with a bigger foot print than the week cabinet wood. TV could swivel out to almost the middle of the trailer. -
I paid $23k for a 8.64kw system with micro inverters installed 2 years ago. Not sure of the price now but the company (Solar Watt Solution out of Carlsbad) was awesome to deal with. They had the permit in 3 days and was installed a week later. They are one of the few companies left that give a referral bonus ($500 Amex). I went over what they recommended by a few panels but at the end of last year SDGE owed me $96. I used to pay $400-500 a month in the summer. I live in Fallbrook and now keep my AC set at 72 in the summer all day when it’s 90-100 deg outside. And got $6300 back from the tax credit.

Post a pic from the top. Looks like the bag is not sitting square in the top plate.

Luckily it’s temporary! I’m a week into a 2 week class for Advanced Collision Investigation. Now I have taken many classes during my professional career but this one takes the cake for difficulty. It’s been 24 years since I graduated high school and admittedly was never good at math. This class is almost all math including trigonometry and kinematics. Every day has been humbling and makes me feel dumb. It doesn’t help that the instructor assumes we all know how to do the work. I elected to take this class to advance my career but man do I have my work cut out for me just to get through this!

Thinking of building my own trailer.....
Dzrtrat1111 replied to Spize909's topic in RV, Toy Hauler & Trailer Technical
I have built 2 different trailers using the frame for a travel trailer. You can usually get them pretty cheap just like this one. https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/tro/d/fallbrook-24-ft-travel-trailer-frame/7438125077.html minimal additional cost in steel to widen and brace it if you like and to build ramps. Wire it, and lights and accessories and you are done. Now, both that I built did not have a vin stamped on the frame so I was able to register as a home built trailer with PTI registration. -

UPDATE @Bobalos you were right and I was wrong. I thought I was getting fuel to the left bank but after chasing grounds, I pulled the fuel rail and injectors. Well… 3 out of the 4 injectors were pretty clogged. I decided to buy an eBay injector test/cleaning machine which did a great job. Then I opted to buy some aftermarket fuel rails and tossed the factory fuel rail. Runs like a champ now!

It’s been 2-3 years since I last went to Pismo. I will never go again. It was a S-show of rental RZR’s driven by people that have no business behind the wheel. No rhyme or reason to the way they navigated the dunes. My wife and I only rode our dirt bikes for about 30 minutes before leaving and we saw several crashes.
