  1. Looks like a few people have seen it as it’s up to $5200 now, still a great deal with only a few hours to go.
  2. I came across this Toy Hauler up for auction at Father Joes that’s ending tomorrow 12/17/17 at 7pm if anyone is looking. High bid at the moment is only $2700. See link below for more info... https://aaapublicauction.proxibid.com/asp/Catalog.asp?aid=136997
  3. Good luck! I've been looking for them also for about a month or so now and no luck. I thought I was going to change and go with Walker Evans wheel s but decided to wait for the BTR's to come in. From what I've been told McKenzie's in Anaheim will be the first and only supplier to get them in and then they will redistribute them out to other vendors who purchase them. I called McKenzies yesterday because I was told they should be in around the 12/5 - 12/10 and was told it's looking more like 12/20 at this point. That date too may get bumped back?? I believe he said the "boat" had arrived and was just waiting on customs to clear the container?? Hopefully soon because I have a deposit on a set of 5
  4. http://www.uscargocontrol.com/towinghaulin...edowns-c-9.html I ordered mine from here and found the quality to be very good and cheaper than any other place I've found.
  5. I have a new set 33x12.5x15 BFG AT's. just used for about 1 hr. I want to us a smaller tire Thanks for the offer but I think I'm going to go with Mickey Thompson 33x10.5x15 Desert Kings on all four and mount them to Walker Evans 15x6.5 wheels ( I like the BTR 15x7 but no one has them and no one knows when there going to get any in??). The recommended wheel width for that tire says 7.0 to 9.0 but I've asked a few people in the know other than the wheel salesman and they have said those should work fine. Any thoughts that will mess with my head even more?
  6. My car does have power steering & 930 cv's. So the width on your Baja T/A's 33x?x15 is 10.5 i'm guessing? And that is what your running all the way around? Nice car by the way! Again i'm new to this but it seems like the front A-Arms / spindles couldn't handle the same size wheel tire combo as the rear??? Am I wrong in thinking this? I probable will go w/ beadlocks as I doubt I will be running that much pressure (more like 15-20psi) all the time as there is a lot of sand and soft dirt washes that I will be using it in too. The other thing is the BFG AT's don't come in a 33x10.5x15 and the Baja T/A are twice the $. The BFG AT's come in 33x12.5x15 32x11.5x15 31x10.5x15 30x9.5x15 The other option is chosing another tire like the Mickey Thompson Desert King which does come in a 33x10.5x15 and is priced about the same as the BFG AT's. yeah, sorry...they are 33x10.5x15. The whole wheel size/spindle issue is not so much size but more about weight. It's important to find out how much the wheels weigh that you want to buy. You would be amazed at the weight differences between wheel brands. I have been running this setup for a few years now and (you can see in the pics) my friends car that's an Extreme Performance Eco runs the same setup and neither one of us have had any issues. You could run AT's or MT's but remember that the sidewall on the AT's and MT's are nowhere near as strong as the Baja sidewalls. I haven't ran a lot of different tires so I don't know what tire has the best grip or throws up the least (I haven’t had any issues with rocks flying up) but we race a 16 and 12 car with BFG's and Yok's both of which seem to hold up very well. Just remember, the smaller the tire the more you feel. A larger tire can roll "through" woops better than a smaller one thats why IMO you should get the largest tire that works right for the car. I wouldn’t go bigger than a 33 on a car like yours but I also wouldn’t go smaller unless there was a need too. oh yeah, as far as width's go, make sure that the tire will clear your shocks in the rear and not hit your a-arms in the front when you're all the way turned. Also, thanks for the props on my buggy. I will be out in Ocotillo with weekend with it…..and remember be safe, wear a helmet. Do you know of a good web-site that lists tire and or wheel weights? I have looked at the web-sites for BFG, BTR & Walker Evans and found nothing with the actual weight listings? Mickey Thompson does list them. I'd like to go with 33x10.5x15 all the way around (just to keep it simple and for ease of caring a spare / probably on AT's and if I can afford it maybe the Baja TA's) on BTR 15X7 beadlocks. I know the rear will be fine with that size. The front shold be fine with that size also depending on the weight??? How much weight difference between a BTR 15x7 & a BTR 15x4? or a BFG 33x10.5x15 & a BFG 30x9.5x15 ? The front end is what I can't decide on and is driving me nuts!!

  8. I am a newbie to the sport and this is my first car. I have 5 seat AG car with a 2.5L turbo subie (stock) md4s mende w/ a 2d main shaft upgrade. The car was set up for glamis/sand and I will mainly be using the car in the Ocotillo Wells area and need to purchase a set of off-road wheels and tires for it. What would be the ideal set-up? I'm told the largest tire I should use in the back would be a 33" so I'm considering the 33x12.5x15 BFG AT's. Should I go smaller? For the front is it best to go down a few sizes like a 30",31"or 32"and what width 9.5, 10.5, 11.5? Most people will say it is up to personal preference but seeing as this will be my first car I really don't have one. Then as far as wheels go i've considered Walker Evans & BTR in a 15" but what width is ideal depening on the tire size? If the suspension is a factor it has 2" Fox coil-overs w/ piggyback resv up front and 2.5' Fox coil-overs w/ piggyback resv and airshocks in the rear. With so many options and combo's out there this type of thing will drive me nuts so any and all help is appreciated!
  9. Other than the angle is it possible that the clicking is because of improper maintenance or that the cv needs to be serviced and repacked with grease?
  10. The guy selling it said he had asked a few knowledgeable people and they had told him not to worry about it & that it was somewhat common? You mentioned it as being pretty common too but like you said it can't be good for the joint. When you mention limiting the rear travel, I have seen that most sandrails have a strap on each side between the frame? and rear wheels, is this to stop the rear wheels/axles from over extending from lets say a jump (mid air) or hard deceleration and preventing the more extreme angle on the joint. Like a bump stop but on the other end of the suspension stroke? I don't recall seing those straps on this rail. As far as the u-joint, that's the first i've heard of that and are there any drawbacks to using them vs the cv's. Just asking because every sandrail I have ever seen or heard about has cv joints. But like I said I am new to all of this.
  11. I've been looking for a used buggy for next season (I'm new to the sport) and test drove one earlier this week that had a noticeable clicking/clanking noise coming from the cv joints. It only did it when coming down from speed and on the brakes or letting off the throttle from high speed. Is this due to the rear end stink bugging due to the deceleration causing the angle to increase on the cv's and is it normal? If not, is simply lowering the rear end the easy fix?
  12. Has anybody tried or heard of the slip-on that Two Brothers Racing has for the raptor 700?
