  1. I've got a few guns I was thinking of customizing with cerakote but wanted some of opinions from you guys that have a lot more experience than I do.  How durable is it? Whats the cost? Most importantly, would it be a big mistake to do it, to at least what I would consider to be high end guns? I've got a couple new toys, a Staccato P and Sig 226 Legion that already look badass, but I like stuff to be different than everyone else. I'd imagine that it might kill the resale value if I ever wanted to get rid of the (I have no intention of ever doing that but..)

Heres my guns I'm thinking of doing, and a link of some cool stuff.

OCRC? The industry is stronger than what it looks to be, many of the closures including our local stuff was due to someone making a better offer to the property owner for the lease. We've lost quite a few indoor locations due to that.

Yep OCRC. Totally understand their lease situation, and I have no idea how strong the industry is in general. Just trying to give some sound advice no matter what field you're looking at, but especially what amounts to a expensive hobby and an economy that is questionable.

  3.  I would strongly consider how strong the future is in RC cars. About a year ago a track that I used to go to a few days a week closed. There's nothing close enough around me anymore that's worth packing everything up and driving for a couple hours of track time. Just last weekend I did  search to see if there was anything around, but no luck. I've probably got 3-5k in all of my stuff and now its just more crap to store. My point is, even if the drop in pay is worth it to you, make damn sure the industry is strong enough going forward to guarantee you'll have a job down the road. Virtually everything that is a luxury, (watches, cars, toys, etc)has had a huge drop in value this past year because people are scared of where the economy is doing.

Wait.....  alcohol, tobacco,  firearms AND hotrods all in one place????  Where the hell has this place been all of my life???   LOL

Yeah, pretty crazy. Forgot to mention there's a tequila bar also. Seriously though, I knew this place would be nice, and I'm not the easiest guy to impress, but this place blew away my expectations. The pictures online do it no justice at all. Whoever built this place dumped a ton of money into it. It seems like a fun pet project for a dude with eff u money just wanted a cool place to shoot, hang out, eat , drink, smoke, and show off a bunch of cool stuff even if it would never pay for itself. The memberships aren't exactly cheap, but if I can't imagine a cooler place to hang indoors in California if you're into shooting. Long guns are allowed too btw.

the whole thing kind of tripped me out.  new England would have been the LAST place I would have thought you would go to build a surfboard.  and in my small world, there are only 2 kind of boards.  the 900 Lb Koa boards that Kahanamoku and Kahanu rode and the foam/Glass boards that I grew up on.  LOL.

and Given that my neighbor shapes boards for Mitsven I would have thought that would be his first stop......

He has a short board and a number of med/long for the breaks we have here in SD, but wanted something bigger he could use for some of the "old school" nose riding & other techniques.  His interest in learning ALL about what he is into is impressive to me.  but.....  Im kind of like that too.  Im a hot rodder and while I really dont like the low riders or import cars, I REALLY appreciate the passion & patience it takes to pull that off.  the low riders amaze me every time I see one.  detail on top of detail & top of detail.  nothing missed.

That's super cool. I'd surf it once and make it a permanent hanger. Funny, I have one of those "900lb solid Koa boards in Hawaii, I just can't figure out how to ship it home.

  6.  My back flairs up every once in a while (usually when I pack on an extra 5-10lbs on). A little over a year ago, I tweaked my back surfing about 5 days before  I was going on a surf trip. Based on my history with this pain, it was going to be a few weeks of "taking it real easy" to get to where I was somewhat back to normal. One of my friends/ customers, was a ex moto racer, was on Nitro circus, Jackass, and did other crazy stunt stuff. The dudes body is a mess. Anyway, he insisted I go see his guy ( Dr. G ) in Costa Mesa. The place was a whos who of extreme sports going in and out. So I lay on a bed , and this assistant uses a machine thats basically a heavy duty ultrasound. Put the gel on, and they rub this device around the area that hurts. Kinda doing this loud snapping noise that actually felt good. After about 10 minutes, this girl asks me to get up and see how it felt. I looked at her like come on! I'm an old pro at have back issues and there's no way 10 minutes of anything was going to be instantly noticeable. Happy to say I ate my words. I stood up, and felt a difference right away. I reach over to stretch, and before the treatment I could barely touch my knees ( I can easily touch the ground when my back is good), now, I almost got to my ankles. !0 minutes got me another 12" of flexibility with less pain. Theres a few other things they do during your hour treatment like heat/ ice, and these magnetic charge things, but that ultrasound devise is a game changer. I went the next couple days and ended up getting to about 90% and being able to surf for 5 days. There's no way I could of done that without. Supposedly, the ultrasound breaks up the inflammation around the nerve endings that our bodies do as a way to keep us from hurting that area any more. Its not a cure, but its an amazing way to reduce your discomfort in a very short amount of time without drugs. Again, Dr.G in Costa Mesa.

Oh yeah buddy! Been there every year for the last 4 years. It got more crowded once the world surf tour went through. We stay in a poor little village in the back of some guys house, nothing fancy. He bangs on the door at 4 am, we load up and we go surf our brains out from sun up till we’re beat. This last trip we got it good, got some cranking surf.
We fly out of Tijuana, so I guess I go across the border, apparently according to Jesse James I’m not a total pussy…

Heres the last trip, no complaints, except that I was worn out.

Nice! Looks like La Bomba? Last year we stepped up our game and stayed at Las Palmeras which was alot nicer that staying in the city, this July staying at Punta Conejo resort which is the nicest of all. We too fly out of TJ. Curious if you ever surfed the beach break on the other side of the city, and through the Indian town? If there's some West in the swell, and the devil winds are blowing, its offshore and pumping. Spooky place though, just a weird vibe. Just 3 of us out and there would be these massive schools of stingrays that would swim right at us and then part, half going to the left, other to the right. Was going on for about an hour when a giant Bullshark surfaced about 15' from my boy. That thing had been chasing and eating those the whole time. Never paddled so hard in our lives! Scored though.

Come on now bro. Salina Cruz is totally different than crossing the boarder and going down into TJ.

Haha. I don't disagree, TJ has always scared the ish out of me and I never stop when I go thorough it. Same with Rosarito btw. Have you been to Salina Cruz? You fly into Huatulco and get picked up by a taxi and drive 2 1/2hours to the camps, which is about an hour from Guatemala. The surfers that go their are literally the ONLY gringos for hundreds of miles. There's no tourism whatsoever. My son and I got chased in by a huge Bull shark our 1st time down there. Twice, I've had our guide (different trips and different guides) make calls to what they said were family members that were supposedly connected to the cartel, to "talk" to some locals that were giving us a hard time. After those calls, both guys were pretty much in tears and apologizing, promising to never act out again. The area is gnarly. That said, we had a great time and am going again in a little over a month.

Not even close, My Best friend Milton went to Cancun with his whole family in September of last year, his dad got Covid, they put him in a separate room in the Hotel, he got a little worse, when they picked him up with a Ambulance, and got him to the hospital they would not take him out of the Ambulance until Brad paid $4000 us, Then they wanted $10,000 to check him into the hospital,  Then they told him they wanted another $10,000 and when they refused the put him on medication that made his O2 level go down.  He called Life flight out of Texas and they told him to get his family out of the Country.  They came by Helicopter with a PA and two armed guards, and a armed escort.  They tried to keep Brad Father and they pulled him out of the hospital with armed us guards.

The hospital in Cancun would rather get cash than save a US citizen.

     He said Cabo, not Cancun.

After more digging I guess I meant last year of n/a flat 6

The GT4s and 3s, including the RS variants are still N/A. The GT2 is turboed. That's what makes them so special, and hold their value so well. 9000rpm redline.
