    Brake Issues

Looks like they just needed to seat in. Drove about 30 miles applying the brakes often by the time i got back to the house they seemed to be working much better.
  2. Are you doing this now with 100+ temps... No Issues?
  3. My insurance is paid up now if something hapens you are obligated to come get her! I think we finally got it.
  4. I would say buy the best you can afford. Our last trip we had two tires blow to the tune of $7000. damage to the trailer.

    Brake Issues

Just put all new brakes (complete plates) on the trailer. WW SLC3705. It is better than it was but I set the controller (Factory Ford) at 10 but it hardly even slows it down at 25 mph and it used to damn near put me through the windshield. I checked the amps pulled at each wheel and its ranges from 2.0 to 2.5 I checked the amp draw at the brake away switch with the circuit open and its pulling about 14 amps. from what i have been told these fall in about the right range. The brakes have been adjusted so you have a little friction and you can hear them. I am totally lost on this one. Anybody got any ideas
  6. Scott came out and we worked on this last weekend. Turns out we are going to replace the brakes all the way around. Locally these were priced a $75.00 a plate. Went on line to eTrailer.com and found them for $289. no tax and with free shipping. This place was great. Ordered them Sunday when i got up on Monday morning it showed the had already shipped. Received them today just what i ordered on time. Scott and i will start early tomorrow and try to knock it out before it becomes blistering hot! Oh yeah my new awning came in today just one more project on the TH do do list.
  7. Thanks K n R. Thats what Im thinking. Just need a little info on what needs or wants to be done. (adjust brakes, new brakes, repack wheel bearings?) PM me RAZOR and rampster. PM sent
  8. Thanks K n R. Thats what Im thinking. Just need a little info on what needs or wants to be done. (adjust brakes, new brakes, repack wheel bearings?) PM me RAZOR and rampster. You should do it for him. The thought of Mike working on brakes scares me. Mike, if you do work on it, make sure your life ins is paid up. Joyce and i will lots of $$$ for when we run away together. paid in fool.
  9. did you just buy complete replacements for each wheel
  10. Anyone have any recomendations or referrals on getting the brakes done on my wwSLC 3705 in the phoenix area.
  11. Check with Matt at the Glamis Fab shop. He will have a couple of numbers for ya.
  12. I remember watching that episode when it originally aired. Man am I getting old!!
  13. I don't think this is a standard menu item if my memory serves me right you need to per-order it. We had it one morning I think Matt was able to finish two slices but he had Jeanie add country gravy to his.
