  1. Good info to have when you go up against anit-access nuts or when you stumble upon a clueless someone that might be legitimately "just asking". The Myth of the "Fragile" Desert By Don Fife
  2. I have a Buggy Works 5-seater, 3.2, Megasand 4E. 246 RWHP. I have run 4 sets of tires trying to hit the right tire. It came with some big Extremes (would have to look to be able to tell you for sure which one as I kept 1 as a spare). Point is they were way too much tire. I went to Padla Trak plus with the No 2 cut and they worked great but thought I could do better so I went to Sand Tires Unlimited and went to their next bigger tire - but they killed the performance. So I went to Padla Trak with No 1 cut on them - all I did was spin the tires (BTW these are for sale for $400 = half what I paid). So I am back to the Padla Trak with the No 2 cut along with some shock rebuild/adjustment to get the suspension dialed in which is a big part of it. Playing around to get the right tire pressure made all the difference in the world - 8 was way too low and 15 too high - 13 just right. Now the car screams - keeps up with LS1 cars no problem. Keeps right with them in a drag. Here's some explanation from Kar Tek's web site about selecting rear tires and how wheel travel comes into play: Kar Tek - Sand Tires Unlimited Padla Trak Good luck.
  3. From the description of it running with no spark plug connected to the pack and not running with the plug connected to the coil pack, it seems you already know which pack and plug it is. The first thing I would do is install a new spark plug or move the plug to a different pack and see if the problem migrates with the plug. I had a bad coil pack but it would run OK when cold, get hot, then start back firing under a load. The trouble shooting advice above is part of what I did to find the bad pack. A few trips later same symptom but a different pack. That said, generally the symptoms of a bad coil are not what you are experiencing according to my experience and http://easyautodiagnostics.com/honda/3.0L/...on-coil-tests-1 Whatever the case and for future reference, packs are cheap enough to change the set of 6 because, according to some sources, they are a maintenance item and should be changed periodically. Honda coil packs on eBay Good luck and keep the rest of us Honda guys posted.

  8. From the ASA Attorney Dave Hubbard: It was also mentioned that there is a good chance that the 9th Circuit would deny any such request.
  9. It is unclear what the BLM intends to do at this point. ASA is working to find out. I would imagine that installing and maintaining stakes along the erratic boundaries of the PMV CH will pose some colossal logistics problems. It will be interesting to see the BLM's solution.

  13. I also use Autowave. Mike gets 246 RWHP out of my normally aspirated 3.2. Bottom end torque is fantastic. He says he can get even more by adding Type S cams and intake. Mike is easy to work with and IMHO is a reputable guy - he runs a great operation. I like the fact that he has a dyno and can duplicate problems that he couldn't otherwise.
