  1. I am in Temecula, text or call me, i am not getting the alerts when a new post is submitted. Dave 951-428-9453 I travel a lot, so let me know where you are and I could possibly bring it closer to you.
  2. Can't help with the scoop except to say John at Outfront is great. The alternator should work on the 2.5, just make sure it has the right plug, I think there are two different types.
  3. I have a Subaru Bosch Alternator I used for one season and then put the chrome one back on my motor. It was $330 plus core from Napa, asking $100 OBO. Dave 951-428-9453
  4. It was the intake valve stuck open due to deposits on the valve stem. Cleaned up both valves, new head gasket, head cover gasket and good to go. I was told that it could happen with good gas also because of all the additives. I bought some fuel additive and shouldn't have the problem any more. With buying the shop manual and and gaskets it was only a $50 fix.
  5. I was just wondering is it good to run 91 octane in the honda 3000??? Straight from the manual: FUEL RECOMMENDATIONS Use unleaded gasoline with a pump octane rating of 86 or higher. This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline. Unleaded gasoline produces fewer engine and spark plug deposits and extends exhaust system life.
  6. Thanks everyone for the help. Choke is fine. I took the air cleaner out and sprayed and still nothing. When the choke is pulled all the way out it is backfiring. I called around and I was told by Temecula Motorsports they have had several come in with the intake valve stuck open due to bad/cheap gas leaving deposits. He asked if I used Arco. I never have. He even said using old gas could do this. I have always used 91 octane but I might have used older gas. Any suggestions on how to fix this. I am going to look online to try to find a service manual to have my mechanically inclined friend due the work for me. I am sure adding something to the fuel in the future would help with this. Next I am going to due a compression test to see if this tells me anything. Anymore help would be appreciated, thanks for everything so far!!
  7. If you couldn't tell by my back to back posts I had a few issues last trip. My Honda 3000 stoppped running. I assumed it was out of gas so I filled her up and it wouldn't start. I checked the oil level and the oil light on the control panel and they seemed fine. I next check the plug, it looked good and is getting spark. I checked and cleaned the fuel sediment cup. I opened the drain valve and it is getting fuel to the carb but the plug was dry so it doesn't seem like fule is getting to the engine. I assume that I need to take the carb out and clean it but just wanted to check if anyone has had a similar problem before I start taking things apart. THANKS
  8. My heater will kick on and only blow cold air. I know to take the cover off because it is a switch problem. I flip the magnetic switch up and it sticks and the heater works fine. When the heater shuts off and then tries to come back on I have to do the process over again most of the time. Do I need to replace this switch or is there something that I can clean to fix the problem? Also when the heater is running it sounds like a humming or whistle is coming from my propane tank or regulator. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. I fell like I'm in the same situation as tkrrox with not getting a full charge on my batts. I have a Inteli-Power PD9140A which is 40 amps. I thought it was bad but it puts out some 13.5+ volts and that seems fine. Is the Xantrex or Iota charger much better than mine? I also was thinking of adding a Charge Wizard if that would help? I have the 60 amp inteli-power. I added the charge wizard and it helped alot. I charge 4 six volts with it.

  11. I have a 2004 yfz450 for sale right now, cheap. Here is the link. Make me a reasonable offer, it needs to go. I have ridden both the honda and yamaha and thought they were both good. This quad handled good at first, added the higher seat and bars and made a huge difference, handles great now. http://www.glamisdunes.com/invision/index....p;#entry3265246
  12. What type of sand rail do you have?
  13. I work for an insurance company that is trying to expand their guidelines to fit most if not all the sandrails out there at a VERY competitive price. In order for this to happen I need a count of how big this class would be. If you are a builder or know how many cars a particular builder has built please let me know the number built and the builder name as soon as possible. You can PM me, reply to this message, or call me David 951-757-7780. By the way I am a duner just like you and would appreciate any help you could give me. I work for a 103 year old company that has the highest ratings in the nation, this will be good coverage at a reasonable price. THANKS
