    Fortin 5 Speed H Pattern

Kevin runs a convertor in his personal prerunner too. As @lincster said it takes the place of the clutch. The transaxle still uses diff fluid but the torque convertor had trans fluid. They run very hot and need to have adequate cooling. We ran three coolers and a heat exchanger. We wanted...

Glamis Flats Safety Rows (LEO, EMT Access)

sweet. Should make it easier when I'm transporting cars, RV's and trailers out there.

    The Town Pump, Westmoreland

The Town Pump is a great restaurant. We did a group meal there last season with 20 or so people and it was around $2500.

    Fortin 5 Speed H Pattern

Fortin is a great transaxle. We ran a 4 speed H pattern when I raced Class 1 Unlimited but it had a torque convertor so it was easy on CV's. The straight cut gears tend to be noisier then a Mendeola or Albins. It's an American made product in El Cajon, CA and parts are readily available.

It's Saturday Sept 13th 2025.. What are you doing this weekend?

Installing an S5D and engine into a Funco GTX. Then plumbing my new 100ish gallon aux fuel tank in my dually. That and my 60 gallon Titan tank will give me 160 to 172 gallons. I've had a 100 gallon transfer tank but it's too tall for the Back Flip bed cover so I had this tank made and will...

It’s labor day weekend! Let’s see your pics!

I have a prep/maintenance business for sandrails and occasionally SxS's. I also have a transport business and we move sandrails for all the builders like Funco, Extreme, Racer/Tatum, Alumicraft, etc. That turned into boat transport, 5th wheels, toy haulers, stackers and RV's. Mostly CA, AZ...

It’s labor day weekend! Let’s see your pics!

After transporting a dozen or so boats to Havasu and Powell I finally got some lake time. PIcked up a RZR Pro R in Laguna Friday, stayed at the GFs house, and delivered it to Havasu Saturday morning. We stayed at a friends Saturday night and boated all day Sunday. Went...

    Rear hub upgrade

Good call on the outbards. We ran ProAm and Jamar outboards when I raced Class 1.

    Power steering and pressure relief

Yep, Ricky is my sales guy at Kartek. Good dude, text him and my parts are ready for pick up when I walk in or shipped same day. I don't think a relief valve is necessary for a sandrail PS system.

    Power steering and pressure relief

The pressure comes from the fluid getting hot. Duning won't get the fluid hot enough. Racing and prerunning will. Who's Ricky?

    Power steering and pressure relief

We ran a P/S reservoir/filter with a pressure relief on our Class 1 car, but the car went 1000 miles at a time. I have the same HOWE P/S reservoir/filter on my car and no relief. Not necessary.

    Fire suppression system

I like the ESS system because it's DIY refillable. I don't like their nozzles so I bought Firefox nozzles for my car. If you call Firefox don't tell them it's for an ESS system. They'll be dicks about it. Tell them yours were lost during a vehicle makeover or some shit like that. I run...

Might sell it, what’s it worth?

I do appraisals, but mostly for sandrails. Best to look on racedezert.com and see if there are any comps. https://classifieds.race-dezert.com/FOR-SALE:Desert-Dynamics--212908 https://classifieds.race-dezert.com/FOR-SALE:4-seat---Custom-Pre-Runner---Professional---Solid--208412...

A residual valve won't help. I had a power bleeder years ago and it didn't work for shit. I bleed all brakes the same way- One person, usually my son or daughter, is in the car. Pump the brake pedal three times SLOWLY and hold, I crack the bleeder, release air/fluid, close the bleeder, pump...
