My ‘62 Corvair was one of my daily drivers in the late 90’s. My truck was only for hauling the motorcycle. After seeing some of the unique vehicles @ comp and the drags, I seriously considered chopping up my Corvair and turning it into a Baja-vair! 😁
Because I’m still in Ca, my ‘82 K-5 “definitely” still has the factory, smog exempt diesel in it!
I feel like the only thing Gavin would actually allow is electric conversion….
Sorry ahead of time.
People born after Nickleback was popular are now voting and drinking(legally).
And no matter what your serious/ xm radio says….. Nickleback is no longer popular.
🤣
I’ve had one for a handful of years.
They’re not as good as the Honda eu2000, but at that price point, it would be worth picking one up even if you’re barely considering it!
My 660 (2003?) unfortunately has had storage times , multiple times and I’ve pulled the carbs to clean them out those times it has sat for over a year. It has not been started post-covid. It probably has 10ish long Glamis weekends on it for night rides. Two St.Anthony trips and two handfuls of...
I’d like to say I’m retired, but not even close!
For over 20 years I was in a management role for multiple Trader Joe’s. I then broke the “rules” and changed careers after 40 years old. I’m currently a Stage Hand for I.A.T.S.E. Local 33. I started out doing up and down rigging for live events...
Pre 2005 there was a pretty good turnout every June/July of GD.com people. Even though I was a “tenter” sleeping in my truck for a week+, I always had a great time. The game changer for the mohos was once they put the concrete pads in. My carbureted bike and quad we not too thrilled, but a...
I bought the Honda EU2000 and the Harbor Freight equivalent at the same time. I did the same break-in and service for both.
We kept experiencing long power outages in my neighborhood and I need to make sure my multiple freezers/fridges and kids entertainment centers wouldn’t be offline for those...
I’m guessing so. Until yesterday, it had been quite some time since I even visited the site. I was not a know user, so I’m “new”😁 again.
I was not a huge contributor before, I’ve always been more of a lurker. Glad to see some of the forums made the transition!
I have a vague recollection of that time period. I definitely remember that Dodge up on the quad. I don’t see me or my bike in that pic though. Maybe I was eating 🤣
An old diesel C60 was not exempt from DEF conversion rules in Commiefornia until recently even if it was registered as a private non-commercial vehicle.
