Ranger at Fault or Truck?

We were there watching and this is 100% correct. The bigger issue with these guys in the trucks (same group of TRX's and a few F150's) is how close to the crowd they like to run. Over Thanksgiving week they made several passes SUPER close to the crowd (like 15-20 feet away). I assume they are trying to avoid some of the whoops, but they are one broken part away from wiping out the crowd.
Too many of those people lately.

Maybe, I’m the pint sized Hispanic guy with a grip of wiener dogs, one leg and a lisp that tent camps behind the pit toilets on Gecko reciting “yore mom” jokes to the folks dropping a growler.
Just growlers?

If they were less than 50 feet from the crowd they are violating this BLM regulation. There is another section for being within 500 feet of sand HWY.

SPEED LAWS. 1. Basic speed law: Don't operate an off-highway vehicle faster than it is safe for conditions (VC 38305). 2. Prima Facie Speed Limit: The prima facie speed limit within 50 feet of any campground, campsite, or concentration of people or animals shall be under 15 m.p.h. unless changed as authorized by the code (VC 38310).

If the drags were CLOSED Then I stand Corrected - The Ranger was 100% in trying to stop them ! He was trying to save someone from getting hit

THAT is a different senario altogether!
That is what I thought was the case in this video. But of course they don’t say that in the video it’s only one sided.

Agree if that was the case the trucks should have known better and drags are blocked for a reason. A couple take off and it’s a domino effect that they don’t want.

The first thing I noticed in that vid was how close they were running to the crowd, with no one else around!

I think I've been to the drags once. That was more than enough for me.

Yeah, I wouldn’t have went. Hard to tell it’s a ranger, but not hard to see him crossing your path and getting real close…

Everyone is at fault in Glamis, Everyone needs to be eyes wide open and ready to adjust to whatever the situation requires.

It's not really a place you can point fingers......you woke up and drove to be there right? Act accordingly for your own safety.

Nope I hate to break the bad news. It used to be to be @Chummin ’s fault. Now it’s TRUMPS fault. Nobody seems to take responsibility for anything anymore.

Watching the video I wouldn't have went whether it was a ranger or not?

However in this video it doesn't seem like this ranger is attempting to close the drags off etc? He didn't have any lights on etc? Just kinda traveling and then accelerated towards the truck?

Ranger was a dipshit for sure.

I still would've seen that and went "WTF?" and not put the hammer down...

Unless you do cross hill wheelies in a rail and drop the front wheels 10 foot from the slow people on the left ide of the hill, you will get yore ass beat!!!

Normally I would say the ranger needed more dune training.
And since "Whistle Blowers" all seem to die in single car accidents,
I'll not call BLM or the ranger station.
There was a movie called "Up the Down Staircase" that had the
same issues.
On a related note, I was in a "Head On Collision" at Pismo.
The main "Sand Highway" was marked with pylons in the center.
I was on the correct side, the other, not so much.
I was hit and needed a new front "Spindle Mount" wheel.
The other guy agreed to buy me one.
Since those days, I try to be careful.

Just because you’re correct, doesn’t mean you’re smart. :ROFLMAO:
