Yes, he died 2 days after his birthday in 2016. But his music lives on as they say. In the sidewalk down the block from me somebody scrawled "David Bowie / Ziggy Stardust" in the cement when it was poured back in the 70s (other scrawls nearby say "surfers rule" and "Lowriders", lolz). Local fans put flowers on it for his B-Day every year. It's a local tradition and I don't have any clue who they are but it's kinda awesome.
