CFMOTO new sport machine the Z Force Z10

IM sorry but to patent the location of the turbo as "behind the centerline " of the motor is about as lame as it gets. he might as well patent the location of the fuel tank to be in a certain place too and one else can do that--this is getting crazy. There are better things to do in life!!

i guess i need to start moving all my turbos on all my Subarus , the turbo is behind the centerline of the motor.

I have no issues with people patenting their designs & ideas. Everyone one does it. Heck most of the clues and leaks we get for the next utv coming out are through patent drawings and filings. So for Robby to do it is smart too. But the problem is his patents in many cases are weak and probably will not stand up in court if challenged. Problem is Robby goes after the weak that don’t have 10’s of thousands of dollars to fight it in court. All while his attorney is a partner in his business, so filing suits is easy and cost nothing. But a guy like you and I can’t afford to fight it to be right. So we just move on. But a company like Polaris. Arctic Cat or CFMoto have deeper pockets and can squash him.

yeah the patent deal with the XX and Speed is awful for the aftermarket guys. IRC/JEHC/RW, when Jason started to blast him on his youtube podcast... wow

I 100% agree with patents to protect your idea, but like stated so many ideas are copies with a minor twist.
Now the deal with TAPP not getting paid for their work or patent, all just adds to the RG drama bin.

This Z10 does look pretty good spec wise. Personally I think it looks like a RZR and X3 mated in the looks department, not a fan yet. The rear storage area is the biggest draw back for me. I came from a Rhino bed to a Wildcat XX bed and love the space. All my friends with YXZ, Honda's and X3 build huge racks to carry a spare or tools/coolers.

The biggest negative for me is the huge dash and controls. I don't want any of that fancy electronics, just like street cars and trucks they are so overloaded with tech that cannot be fixed in the field if/when broken.

The options out of the box, roofs, scoop and other details sure show they have an intent to be in the market.
and the price tag $$$$$$ is perfect for me. We use to joke about 40k Rhino builds now I can't even get a basic model SxS it seams.

Its pretty sweet. We just got one. I haven't been able to drive it yet, but my buddy gave it a good rip around the gravel track and he was very impressed.
