Coyote Flats and Funnel Lake - Inyo National Forrest

Definitely cut that stub off and save it for a limp home deal. OE Toyota or RCV only on the replacement. Vatozone will fail very quickly.

Catch anything? :) Also: sometimes you can put the stub back in and the bearings aren't completely hoopajooped. Sometimes.... :ROFLMAO:

Well after sitting idle for four years (billet parts)

New software these days would make it easy to start with a basic pattern design per segment, then measure a wheel’s beadlock ring bolt pattern and rescale it to fit between the bolt holes. VF2 is 16” Y axis? Probably shaving it suuuper close.

Well after sitting idle for four years (billet parts)

And here I was, proud of my “hobby shop” for having welders, a bender, band saw, drill press, shop press, etc… :ROFLMAO: Bunch of older buggy beadlocks out there needing some love with fancy new rings… Maybe there’s interest there?

    Fire suppression system

One thing about fire systems: they're not there to save your car, they're there to save your ass from dying in a car-B-que after a wreck. As such, plan to place nozzles in place where flammable liquids/items can kill you, not necessarily where they are. Since the fuel tank is basically in the...

    Speed UTV

The heads are probably their existing engine's heads. They built a billet block as a proof of concept and check fit up, etc.

    Speed UTV

Hot-V with a timing chain front/rear. Weird positioning for the wastegates on the manifold (cyl 1 and 2 don't feed them very well), and needs more flex provisioning to prevent cracking. I'm assuming it'll be somewhere in the 500hp range on the dyno when posted... Then maybe 300hp real world...

    History of Boardmanville.

Early 2000s. Wife tells me stories of outlaws, racy posters and parties all day/night there in the 80s. I feel cheated. :ROFLMAO:

Snow Flakes are against the Blue Angels.......WTF

One constant with them is their need to help others when it isn't needed or wanted while ignoring the work that actually needs to be done.

    Trade Deals

Appear to be dropping left and right. https://abcnews.go.com/Business/trumps-trade-agreement-european-union/story?id=124131754 Hidden gem in this article, from Professor Miller of Michigan State: Remember how there was constant screaming about how the tariffs were gonna cause mass inflation...?

    Wrecked sandcar on YouTube

Yep, everything but one wheel. Would be relatively simple for a fabricator to replace the broken tubes, reattach the front bulkhead, then reinforce it so it doesn't happen again. The sheetmetal up front had some mangled bits as well (esp the hood), but those are optional.

Snow Flakes are against the Blue Angels.......WTF

Agree. I work next to MCAS Miramar. The week before the airshow weekend can be extremely loud and at times difficult to accomplish anything... But a quick pause to enjoy the sound of freedom is also fun/welcome. Some people just need to lighten up and quit bitching about everything.

Yeah, that thing probably flows eleventy gajillion CFM…

I assume their CA or similar type service had an issue. These things happen. After action report it, learn, and move on. No big deal in the grand scheme of things.

It will change the airflow for sure. Airflow from a fan is flung outwards. You’re now asking it to go straight back. Whether this will affect cooling or not, TBD. Probably want to bring tools to remove it if you see issues.
