It's a longshot but ..........Yes, I know the season has ended. Yes, I know it will be hot. But I'm picking up my new car and have to give it some good shake down time before taking it to up to Oregon. I'm picking it up in the morning on 5/12 then plan to be out in Glamis by that afternoon. Sandrail insurance loss claims

I'm in the same situation. I'll insure my new Funco for $275k and plan to only file a claim if a total loss. If you think sand rail insurance is bad trying having a big boat in Alaska - Uy vey!

    Spring Tension Tie-Downs

I believe it is just the opposite. The spring keeps tension on the straps when the load bounces a bit on its suspension.

    Spring Tension Tie-Downs

These were recommended on the FB Funco page so I ordered a set and will give them a try. From the videos and reviews they look pretty good. They will get a good test hauling my new car from Glamis back home to Oregon in a week...

Insured Value for Higher End Sandcar

I tried Hagerty and they would not insure mine. I have an existing policy with them for two classic cars as well but no dice on the sand car.

Insured Value for Higher End Sandcar

All good info and thanks for sharing. I’m aware of the difference between ACV and RCV. But given State Farm is literally the only coverage I can find, beggars can’t be choosers.

BIG Class A vs Super C

If you get serious about a Renegade give me a call. I've done a bunch of research on the engine/trans options, how to get your LiPo battery and dual inverter set up and the best dealers, etc. Happy to share all with you

BIG Class A vs Super C

Renegade Classic with twin screw (not a tag) is going to be an awesome machine. It will have 2x the tow capacity of a class A. You are going to push or exceed your tow rating of an A with your stacker. Renegade quality is excellent and there is a great FB page of very active and knowledgeable...

UPDATED: 4-25-25 A dealer sold me a "deleted" truck.

I assume you know you will have to pay WA State sales tax since you are registering it there? I live close to the border of OR and WA. Most people around here try to find a way to register in OR given OR has no sales tax.

Flying The Stars & Stripes Question

You’re worried about being disrespectful? Did you realize you forgot the L in flags in your first post? I guess it’s a selective disrespect thing? I’m not judging, just sayin’

Insured Value for Higher End Sandcar

I think your point is valid for sure. The part I can't figure out though is SxS insurance is pretty easy to get and relatively cheap comparatively. Go figure!

Insured Value for Higher End Sandcar

State Farm is the only one I can find that will cover to the full value. Nobody else even close. Foremost will do liability and max value of $50k on comprehension. Safeco will do liability only. Everyone else has been a hard no for one reason or another. And keep in mind, I have a clean driving...

Insured Value for Higher End Sandcar

I’m leaning toward just insuring for the full value. The premium difference isn’t enough to take the risk

Insured Value for Higher End Sandcar

I’m curious how much some of you insure your higher end sand cars for? I’m taking delivery of my new car in a few weeks so I’m working on finalizing insurance. So far State Farm is the only one that will insure it and the premium is pretty expensive. I’m thinking to insure it for 15%-20% less...
