1967 Dodge A-100 Hot rod sort of rat rod build thread.

Well last Friday was exciting. The Wilwood brakes were squealing front and rear like a stuck pig. So they sent me the little rubber coated backing plates. Was able to pull the rears off without unbolting the wheels. Unbolted the front wheels without completely removing them and was able to get...

Anyone out there traveling with a toy hauler and a street car?

Car sits pretty low so not sure what kind of ramp set up I would need to get it up into a toy hauler. I guess the other option would be pull the car behind on a dolly but then I'm guessing that damn slobber tube from the engine and all the crap would just wreak havoc on the car

So I'm thinking outside the box a little bit. Thinking about retiring in 6 months. Tired of all the b*******. So right now I have a diesel pusher and an open trailer that I haul the sand rail on. I want to replace my truck with a late model Chevy truck. I was going to buy a 6.2 gas engine. Want...

Some pics from the rockabilly car show today. Boy did this truck ever fit in out there. Lots of rat rods. Truly humbling the response on this truck and how much people like it. Just amazing. Even driving around town. Drove my nephew in the truck this week and he called it a neck breaker. Because...

Well the EPAS electric power steering unit is the most powerful unit on the market. But it simply does not have the power / torque to turn 10 inches of rubber and 1,000 lb on each corner in the front. The truck is drivable but just does not respond how I would like. So I talked to Jeff Howe this...

After the absolute Marathon I have run the last 28 months between this truck and our business it is surreal to have this thing sitting in my garage. Tomorrow I will do some final things before good guy starts on friday. Super happy with how both of my glove box trays came out.

Few passes up and down the street with this thing and I know every time I drive this truck my face will hurt from smiling so much.

We are having a hard time keeping this thing on the rollers. Ended up calling a time out and calling RPM on this transmission. He said 700 lb of torque Max and I am exceeding that by a good hundred pounds. Decided to call it and just pull this thing off the dyno. Afrs are all good now. Ended up...

Holy crap. 5,100 RPM and 4 lb of boost. Spinning the tires on the dyno and torque numbers high enough to break parts already. Pulling the 8 lb spring out of the wastegate and putting the 3 pounder in and then go from there. Crazy. And yes we recalibrated the dyno just to be sure.
