You should never see CV joints pushing 400*... Most duners probably get there joints from 160-240* as stated by board members above. Believe it or not super finishing the joints dropped the operating temp of the cv joint by 14 - 16* per our tests... So it does more than just make it look shinny...

If you found genuine timken LL225749/LL225710 for $175 a set, I will take 100 sets... I have contract pricing on this part number with timken and pay more than twice as much as $175. You wont be the first or last to think you have found the best source for these bearings...

The LL225749 is a great bearing it can take a ton of preload. the reason we preload Mid board bearings so much... Imagine a car that weighs 3500lbs drifting through the sand at 60+ mph on a 35"+ tall tire... That's a lot of load on the bearings... a lot more than your average daily driver. Now...

Pinion shaft we just finished for a customer. Sample( on the left) broke and their equipment was down. OEM quoted them 16 weeks out we knocked this one out in 5 business days including heat treat.
