Agreed. This car with all the upgrades should have sold months ago.

I have a few more things to finish up and then off to Glamis next weekend. I’ve tested everything except for the axle spacers. The grease fittings work but I don’t know anyone that has used them to “stretch” existing axles.

Plan to finish up the sand car so it will be good to go for the Sandy Golf Tournament next weekend.

While most people on here are upgrading their transaxle to a sequential my project has been to go to a 2d. The Baja Shop came with a Mega Sand transaxle and I knew it was the weakest link in the power train. So when it broke I bought a used 2d and went to work with the modifications required...

Worked on the sand rail for a bit and then gave up because I couldn’t get it into reverse. Tomorrow’s another day. Went to a birthday party for someone that’s actually older than me.

I finished relocating the radiator and it turned out to be a better vertical angle than I had expected. Airflow will remain from top to bottom. Some before and after pictures.

Still working on the sand rail. Didn’t get the transaxle back yet. Hopefully get it Monday so I get it in and head to Glamis for the weekend.

Worked on the sand car yesterday and a Super Bowl party or two today.

I used my clutch. Guess I’m ol skool cause my right hand and left foot are in sync with each other. On a dirt bike no clutch. Different set of muscle memory. At the sand drags I wouldn’t use the clutch but in the dunes it just seemed more natural to use the clutch.
