Because of the heat and the wife and kids were away, I literally did nothing yesterday but watched Sopranos and ate Mexican leftovers. A few times I realized, THIS, is how people get fat. My days off almost always consist of at least some yard work and sweat.

My youngest has been asking to go shooting. Headed to Campo to sling som lead. Probably just 22, pistol and maybe an AK.

Plan to retire from current job on my 50th birthday (2 years) but keep another job going. Double dip and stay active. I drink enough, working. Maybe retire from that after 10-12 years. 2 retirements and SS if it's still around

Jeez.  Just noticed how good this picture came out of my youngest.   Dunes to the right are straight outta Tatooine.

Just gotta get there early.  What's the problem?! Dunes were glass.  Canal was the clearest I've ever seen it.  Saw sand ripples at the bottom and LOTS of fish.

Couple more older ones.  One of the famous,  huge, fast guy rides, some summer trips...

So let's do a summer trip like the days of old.  A few of us will be out Saturday.   RRon3, OCjeff, my buddy Kevin, maybe Chummin if he gets the strength to put on his paddles.   Probably be at Roadrunner. Temps are looking good as this whole summer has been hot as hell.  Like more than usual.
