When you cleaned it, did you strip it down completely? Did it have a removable seat, and was it push-in, or screw in? Push-in seats usually have an o-ring, and if you put the carb in a dunk can without removing it, the o-ring can be damaged by the caustic solution, allowing fuel to flow around...
