Given this is a Glamis dunes / sand forum - I'll take a lightweight sand car with HP over a sxs or dual sport any day. But if I lived in Havasu and did not do the dunes much and did more hardpack - it would be hard to beat a SXS...over the counter parts, street legal, small, great suspension.

Working out in Virginia for the week...had time off today and went to a Chevy truck show over in Maryland (about an hour from here). Show was at a local farm - pretty awesome - here are some pics of my favorites.

Eh - dirt bike dudes could have been a little less condescending and explained the issue better. That would have most likely resulted in the ranger being a bit more helpful and understanding. I'd be a prick if they talked to me that way.

Tire man helped get the 4th stud cleaned up...and I bought some studs, bearing cover, and a hammer at tractor supply...I rolled with 4 lugs this morning and was on the water by 10, Perfect day! Someone pulled next to me with a RDP sticker and waved at my wife...who was that? Figured it was...

Thank you Dave! We drove by tire mans place and plan on getting there when they open in the morning. Thankfully we made it to Havasu on 3 lugs!

I lost a trailer tire on the way to Havasu. I was able to get my spare on with 3 studs because 1 stud came out and the other stripped. Can anyone let me know who would be able to replace my studs on my axel tomorrow? Thanks in advance... chitty way to start the weekend :)
