How many leo's does it take to kill a dinosaur? (12)

Man, I don't know how that's not common knowledge/practice anymore.  It's something I learned very early in duning, so early I can't pin-point it.  Anybody that's ridden in a group with me knows anytime somebody breaks and ends up in a low point, I'm always the guy that goes and parks at the...

    Ken Block - Glamis tour

Cool vid, a little light on the actual "info" but that's fine.  The Tatum is a nice car... over $300k now. 😉 -TJ

How many leo's does it take to kill a dinosaur? (12)

^^^exxxxxxxxxactly I wonder if the company with the contract to empty those dumpsters will take it with that much metal in the dumpster, preventing it from closing and possibly preventing their equipment from being able to lift/empty it?  110%.  I love the existing destinations, but all these...

    LS427/570 vs LS376/525 (LS3 vs LS7)

Bruce at CBM loved a cam I had spec'ed for my LS7 a while back.  It's a good duner cam, IMHO.  It was originally meant as a mix of AutoX/Road Course so it's not donkey-pee pee big, has good off-idle characteristics, relatively easy on valvetrain, etc: That is a relatively small cam in a...

    TJ's 2011 Silverado 2500 HD (Duramax/Allison) Solid Axle Swap

Yeah, the USS Broverland (my little adventure trailer that I took on that 800 mile Idaho trip, a Utah trip, a few trips within CA, etc.) doesn't have a p00per either.  My bathroom solution is this: Plus either this: Or this: The 2-room deal is nice because it gives me room to...

    TJ's 2011 Silverado 2500 HD (Duramax/Allison) Solid Axle Swap

Not positive on travel numbers with the final setup, at the 6" height WFO runs a 8" travel c/o, but that's not necessarily wheel travel.  To be clear, this isn't a "long travel" or baja setup.  It's also not meant to be an articulation ramp hero, or even a hardcore crawler.  I want good, smooth...

    TJ's 2011 Silverado 2500 HD (Duramax/Allison) Solid Axle Swap

I bought this truck new in October of 2010, and I've always thought about doing a Solid Axle Swap (SAS) on it.  For years it towed my 5'ers, so going big and SAS didn't make sense, and it wasn't in the budget anyway.  Ever since we moved over to RVs though, it's mostly just been a weekend...

Show us your home away from home

I was just guessing, TBH.  I found a 2011 American Coach Revolution brochure: https://www.rvroundtable.com/wp-content/uploads/American Coach/American-Revolution/2011.AmericanRevolutionBrochure.pdf which is why I found the 44,600 GVWR.  However, it doesn't list an Unloaded Vehicle Weigh (UVW). ...

Show us your home away from home

You'll be good with the 450, it looks like your coach has a GVWR of 44,600 which means it's prob in the mid-30ks by itself, and probably come in around 45 combined w/ the stacker.  My Dutch Star had a 450/1250 ISL but it weighed around 40k by itself, and 52k+ with the stacker:  It did just...

Show us your home away from home

One thing I forgot to point out earlier: I love how they carried the paint scheme onto the sides of the slides.  Our DS and our MA were/are like that, but I've seen other coaches at way too high of a price point not do that.   -TJ

    Super C's School Me

I had a 2021 Thor Magnitude SV34, and overall we loved it...  Again, overall it was a great rig.  The trailer you see is a 24' all aluminum that was right around 28' total length, and almost exactly 3k lbs empty (as in, empty-empty, before the e-track, before...

    Hitch upgrade...

Coach-only, right?  That's only 31k... light for a bigger pusher.  I feel like I've posted this 92 times lately, but here was my old Dutch Star and stacker: The "DRIVE AXLE" weight was a combination of my drive axle, and my tag.  I'm pretty confident it also had about 2k lbs of tongue weight...

    Stacker trailer 101 help

They're not low 11s factory, at least not without negative DA, 100+ octane, a tailwind, and a 80lbs driver.  This is the best I've done with ours, right on 11.5 (so not 11.49 😉 😞 ) and I don't consider 11.5s "low 11s" but it's oh-so-close.  Ours is stock other than being lowered and a catback. ...

    Stacker trailer 101 help

Yeah, she does.  She's a truck girl really, though we've talked about keeping the TH too but we both know there's no reason... AND I'd turn it into a 1k HP 9-second SUV that I can't actually legally run at any dragstrip.  So I'm really, really trying to stick with "we're selling it" and don't...
