    Proper Seat and Harness Selection

Comparing an OE application to a race or sand car isn't a sound argument. We don't have airbags or other saftey features OE applications have. The issue is spinal compression and body movement in a suspension seat. Agree that helmet is important, but disagree with the seat choice isn't as...

    Proper Seat and Harness Selection

Great post Ace. Few things to add... From Jeff Furrier of UPR Racing Products: "A shell seat like a Sparco is crash tested to meet FIA standards that are compiled in part from real crash data. The FIA standards are strict and it’s not cheap to get a seat tested and approved, which keeps...

Lessons Learned from a Life-Threatening Accident

I am going to always wear my neck restraint with my helmet now. Helmets are getting very light, but the neck restraint will help keep your head on your shoulders and hopefully prevent a broken neck. I wear a Simpson hybrid sport with a carbon impact helmet.

Lessons Learned from a Life-Threatening Accident

The crash caused whip lash, first forward then back into the seat. The whip lash backward into the seat caused a brain bleed, unconsciousness, and a concussion. He was not wearing a helmet. I believe a helmet and neck restraint would have prevented the aforementioned injuries and allowed him to...

    Rear hub upgrade

The outboards they sell today are really geared toward desert racing. Roy at proam advises against outboards for sand cars or Prerunners.

    Rear hub upgrade

Personally, I would just jump up to the 33 spline HD bearing. Saves you from cutting the trailing arm apart and would be a big upgrade from the 27 spline. The HD link I posted above requires a new flange on the trailing arm.

    Rear hub upgrade

Check with Parker first, but Pro Am also makes an HD microstub specifically built for big tires and HP. I would go this direction before a true outboard or mid board. Outboards are not good in the sand since the outer boot doesn't rotate and consistently fills with sand...

You can transfer Arizona titles between Arizona residents online, but it requires some work from the seller. https://azdot.gov/mvd/services/vehicle-services/title-and-registration/etitle-transfer

Racer Front Engine Sand Car - Why?

Thomas & Betts Ty-Rap is my go to. Expensive, but much better than anything else I have seen.

Racer Front Engine Sand Car - Why?

I would much rather have zip ties than clamps. High-quality zip ties are still the best option for plumbing off road cars, especially race cars.

Ron, you, and the entire Weddle team were awesome through out the process. Not your fault Albins was backlogged. I would guess that was Dickerson's ST-6 on the cart.

17" Buggy Wheels - Damaged OK

Looking for 17" 5 wide buggy wheels. Aluminum wheels would be great because I can cut them down for loading wheels. It's ok if the lug holes are damaged, jut looking for something cheap.
