I have a V6 Honda/2d (Stugots old stuff) that the starter just went bad. It is a Hi Torque, but will a OEM starter work to get by?

I saw a BMW powered sandcar in a ad several years ago. I can't seem to find it now. Does anybody know of any? I am trying to find out how to adapt a transaxle, and what kind, to a BMW N20 engine. Kennedy says they only make one for a 2002 1.6L and 3.0L. And those are only for VW trannies.
