4L70 and TC

I will be upgrading the trans in my TBSS to the 4L80 next month, so the 70 that is currently in it will need to go... Main differences between the 60 and 70 are the 70 has upgraded planetaries and an input shaft speed sensor.

This is essentially a stock 2wd core. It started slipping and shifting funny a while back. It will need a rebuild.

I do have a new in box Phoenix Transmissions PTGM55HS converter. This is a 2800-3k stall . About the TC from the manufacturer,

We routinely use these in applications up to 650HP , we use a wider lockup clutch, heavier damper assembly, stronger sprag and hardened drive hub.

Would be perfect for someone looking to upgrade to an overdrive unit with their LS swap...
