I have had this discussion before. I am ready to upgrade to a bigger rig. I have been looking at the Entegra cornerstone and Renegade Classics. I think I want a Tag axle for towing and better breaking. Also want the Hp & Torque. I love how the super c drives, have not drove a newer Class A. Any differences in a Tag axle? I would like to have a little more room in the coach and 2nd bathroom since I have to pee so many times at night now. I should of went straight to the renegade but I hated their older interior wood designs. I like the newer modern style. Would love to hear fellow duners experiences.

Renegade Classic with twin screw (not a tag) is going to be an awesome machine. It will have 2x the tow capacity of a class A. You are going to push or exceed your tow rating of an A with your stacker. Renegade quality is excellent and there is a great FB page of very active and knowledgeable resources. I will likely upgrade to a Classic from my current Renegade Verona at some point. Do not get talked into a Renegade Explorer. They are great rigs with tons of power but the single rear axle is near capacity w/o any trailer weight on it. Go with Classic twin screw.

If you get serious about a Renegade give me a call. I've done a bunch of research on the engine/trans options, how to get your LiPo battery and dual inverter set up and the best dealers, etc. Happy to share all with you

Thank you. I will definitely be giving you a call.

Do the renegades drive and feel like a truck?

I think you should go drive a new class A... they ride so nice, quiet and smooth. With the tag you are not getting pushed around by wind or semis etc, and you will get way more space out of your floorplan. The cornerstones have plenty of power w/ the 605 cummins.

I've never driven a super C, but usually the benefits to that over a nice class A is towing capacity and a better safety rating for a front impact crash.

Love my class A 600hp with tag handles better than most class 8 trucks 5.5 loaded 6.5 no trailer my business partner has a class 8 he gets 8 towing and can out pull me down n the hills with his 12 speed

If you have interest in a used Renegade Classic 45' I think with twin driven axles, my buddy is going to be selling his. I think it is a 2022 or 2023. If you have interest I will put you guys together.

I just got a older Super C,
It is a Jayco Embark, Now that i have gone down this Rabbit Hole. I have learned so much about the C class,
Mine has a M2 Chassis with a Cummins 8.3 Turned up to around 390-409hp depending on settings,
It does not pull has hard as a F350, but the 605hp MoHo will not pass me
It Stops ten times better than my Ford,
HP vs Real Speed, i have couple of friends with motorhomes with 550 hp, but the C class at 450 walks away from them due to some of them having a 12 speed,

With a motor home you are stuck with a 6 speed.
The motor home will always beat out the C class on interior
The what i call the Mega C, is top not in the Dunes, most Mega C class, will have Dual Drive Axles and both will be locking,
With Dual Drive Locking Axles, it will motor through deeper sand and mud, and will tow around 20 -40K,

I now call them Mega C, Super C, and Not sure what you call some of the Other,

The Renegade and the Dynamax are the only Super C being built,
What makes a super C
  1. Freightliner M2 or M112 Chassis
  2. HD Truck Chassis like a Cummins ISL 9 liter
  3. 20K and up towing Capacity
The other Brand what they are calling a Super C, only have the 6.7 cummings, and the are S2RV chassis, not a big rig Chassis and they only tow 10k

The Mega C, would be a Renegade XL, they will out tow a Classis, with Dual Rear Locking Drive Axles, also
you have
  1. Renegade Classis and XL
  2. Newmar Supreme Air and Summit Air
  3. 1492 Coach Works
  4. Showhauler
  5. Bolt Custom Coaches
Most of the Mega C will come with D13 or a D15 pared up with a 12 speed, also the Mercadies and a 12 speed is really fast also,

I've driven them all and the 450hp towing a stacker on a grade is a dog. Tag axles tow much better. I drove a clients Renegade to Roadrunner last season. @DZRTRUN was set on buying a 600hp toter w/tag or twin screw and I told him to sit in the Renegade I brought out. It's loud and vibrates like a Class 8 truck. You get a bed up top but you give up 8' of floor space for the cab. Don't know if that changed their minds but they did get another Class A with 600hp.

No matter how nice or expensive the RV it's going to have issues. I drove a Foretravel from Yakima to LA and the fridge fell out of the wall. This is a $1.5mm RV new. The next morning one air bag had deflated and I had to manually fill it. I regularly drive an Entegra with less than 8k miles and the DEF head unit failed and went into limp mode, wouldn't go over 5mph. $2500 tow bill to get it 100 miles.

Good info right there. I dig my super C, I want more power, torque, space, water for the family and 2nd bathroom for me. Wife and I are going looking at a couple Entegra's and tag axle rv's in 2 weeks to see how we like them. I know they are all expensive $hit boxes vibrating down the road. They all have their issues, but looking for better build quality and features.

At the end of the day still like the big super C for towing. talking with the dealer now on this one. Not many options out for the 45cbf.

That's super nice but I don't get the lack of seating. My class A sleeps 2 can has seating for 6 plus the dinette. This thing sleep 6+ and has seating for 3, I don't get it.
