One of our mutual friends has a laptop that seems dead. It powers his OLD Solid Works program on XP.

He has the Solid Works CD, but I don't have an old copy of XP laying around! If I end up throwing a new hard drive in this old laptop (I think that's the problem), do you have a copy of XP we can install on it?


P.S. He lives close to me. I haven't laid my hand on said laptop, yet.

So I got it going, and copied all his files to the USB drive.

I'm pretty sure both the main battery and BIOS batteries are toast.

He says he has a desktop you built for him ages ago, but he's never plugged it it! Lol

I think he should give both units to you, so you can configure it all properly. He has the Solid Works CD as well.
