Mooching!

Headed to a friend's for drinks early, and then to my daughter's boyfriend's family gathering.

I am taking a fresh baked dutch apple pie though. Does that count as cooking, since I paid for it?

Mooching. My Sister in Law is basically Martha Stewart. House is perfectly decorated, place settings all set up. Huge charcuterie board on the kitchen island, beers in the outside kitchen etc. I do however, cook X- Mas dinner

I'm making spiced apple cider. Picked up the cider in Oak Glen on Sunday. Bourbon will be in the ol pocket if anyone wants a snort.

Turkey is in brine in a bag in our cooler.
Smoker is cleaned, prepped and ready to fire.

Picking up a Safeway full turkey day dinner tomorrow. Total easy button move this year

Smoking a bird and doing all the sides myself, but best part is it’s just my wife and kids. Plus I don’t mind cooking

Neither. Sleeping most of the day, then in to work at 2200.

Alone, and fine with it.

Ha! After years of having it at my house. My son has decided to have it at his house this year. I’m looking forward to not having to cook or clean up afterwards. But! I’m Not looking forward to dealing with my DIL’s family. My wife’s not happy about my plan. They live about 5min from me. Going to pregame at my house to get my mind right and then show up about 30min before dinner. When my son’s MIL starts going around the table asking what everyone is thankful for I’m going to say whatever comes to mind. Stay Tuned

Just me, wife and daughters this year. They made all the sides yesterday.
They're putting snacks together throughout the day.
Turkey in brine. I'll be putting it on the Weber about 1pm.

Seriously, why da fuck do people do this ? Hopefully you say something to the effect of "I'm thankfull that I'm here with my son and DIL, have a decent buzz, and it is only this that's keeping me from reaching across the table and throttling you"
