Potential Tariffs to come?

Two the two responses above. To be fair Trump did spend ALOT of money. We need to address the deficit and though he said he wont touch social security i would love to see an end to the ukrainian conflict and israeli/iranian tensions and shift that funding to shore up social security; drill and work on shrinking the deficit. The problem with tax money is its fungible. You pay a tax for road maint and schools, and they spend it elsewhere and the come at you 4 years later for another tax for roads and schools.

Its also why i like the idea of musk doing monetary accountability studies within govt agencies. We’ve needed this for centuries

Wont effect me much all my materials and consumables are american made.

On pluto tv you can watch a channel that
Is all price is right from the 70s and 80s. They are giving away those tv’s refrigerators, furniture, microwaves etc that all last FOREVER. They all have one thing in common. Even then they are 3x’s as much as they cost now. But they are of the highest quality and all made in america from american parts by american hands. If we had more of this skilled labor that paid decent we wouldnt have 30 year old burger flippers with a 20-25$ minimum wage

You are saying fridges and microwaves were more expensive in the 80’s?

The "Threat" of tariffs is the stick, and jobs returning to the US is the "Carrot".
Hundreds of tariffs exist already and not much will change.
The deportation plan seems to be criminals first. Sounds OK to Me.

FYI, I already get my veggies and Fruit from the US, delivered once a week to my house from the central coast, last longer, taste better, and no chemicals.
From Thanksgiving till Easter most would be coming from Imperial County or from Yuma, All the Migrant workers actually migrate twice a year to follow the work or at least they did when we were building some of the produce transfer buildings in Yuma a while back.

Yes. Dont take my or googles word for it. Watch some reruns of the price is right. We did alot of damage to this country by propping up chinese and japanese production at the cost of the american worker

Everyone needs to keep in mind what a huge part the US is to EVERYONE'S economy, my point is other countries need to be able to sell into the US markets, Trump is imposing tariffs on those countries to either drive down cost and or stimulate production here in the US of those same goods.... competition drives cost down and or increases quality as a selling point. With that said; we could see shortages due to supply & demand but eventually as either US production ramps up or other countries shrink their margins things should balance out in our favor....fingers crossed!

We need to get back to "America First", pretty simple. We can no longer prop up the rest of the world. We need to take care of our Shiat at home. If that is Tariffs (tax), so be it. Trump will be a bit more hands off this term and trust his advisors much more as well, I hope.
