Just got back from a 8 day emergency deployment for relief back up pilot for fire fighter support for county of LA from fed forest dept.
Only flew 6 support, personel transport missions, but the fire had a mind of is own and did want it wanted todo.
The real heros, besides the guys on the ground, were the super scoopers and jet tankers skud running and dropping 100,000 gallons of water/phos on the hills and firelines.
