I owned a Hunter machine and really enjoyed doing alignments. You don't need the latest equipment just competent people doing them.
I really enjoyed doing them when I worked for Lexus. Most of their cars were caster, camber and toe adjustable on the front, AND camber and toe adjustable on the rear!
You could make those cars go straight as an arrow, if put some time into it.
I had a lady tell me one time, her car didn't drive straight. I looked the car over, and noticed a chunk missing out of the RF wheel. When I pointed it out, she Insisted we must have sold her the car that way.

When I said, let's go for a drive, so you can show me what's wrong?
First thing she does...
Is hit the curb while making a right hand turn.
She left a bit upset after the test drive...
