Well, a buddy from work had talked about this place and no one in my group had ever gone. Just north of Palmdale, CA off the 14 fwy, cool area.
Trails were very fun, but it was a short trip so we only got in 80 miles between Saturday and Sunday morning.
We all definitely want to go back for at least 4 days as it seems there is a lot to explore.
I got there Friday afternoon and unloaded, cracked a cold beer and headed to Dave's trailer cause the wind was howling and it was EFFING cold, LOL
Propane/lava rock fire inside the trail was totally fiiiiiiiiine...safe as can be! LOL. He had a heater but thought this would be fun, it was and worked awesome!
Saturday we headed out, West I believe...no idea. Was awesome, no one out there and the trail we were on seemed to just keep going so we just kept going.
I know there are some destination spots, but we didn't hit any of those this time...we just wanted to get a feel for the area.
My buddy was breaking in his new Can Am Maveric R, holy moly that thing is nice and she's got some girth! Big Booty Judy is what he called her and that name has stuck, Judy for short though!
LOL.
Saturday night watched that stupid Tyson fight, LAME!
Sunday, we wake up to do a short ride and noticed one of my trailer tires was flat. I'll deal with it after the ride. did probably 25 miles, just awesome flowing trails, smooth and like a roller coaster in some parts with the long ups and downs.
Got back to camp, swapped out my trailer tire in blistering 20 min fashion with a hand star wrench (Didn't had a 13/16 socket for my impact!) It's fine, I needed the workout.
Great trip, got home, can am all cleaned and tucked away for the next trip, Dumont I think in December.20241115_191555.jpg20241115_191608.jpg20241115_201034.jpg20241116_083302.jpg20241116_083312.jpg20241116_083324.jpg20241116_102613.jpg20241116_102623.jpg20241116_102701.jpg20241116_102721.jpg20241116_120917.jpg20241116_121516.jpg20241116_132530.jpg20241116_133025.jpg20241116_152033.jpg20241116_152037.jpg20241116_152052.jpg20241116_152059.jpg20241116_160625.jpg20241116_160630.jpg20241116_160635.jpg20241116_160717.jpg20241116_160721.jpg20241116_160734.jpg20241116_211515.jpg20241117_105053.jpg20241117_112301.jpg

My old stomping grounds, started my desert off roading in Jawbone in 1972. Lots of explore, especially off the beaten path. Cool destinations in almost every direction.

I know that area well...

Camp in Dove Springs next time and check out the survival cabin.

Probably a bit of snow up there by now. 👍🏼

Lots and lots of places to explore.

OP is that seriously a pic of your fire pit being used inside your trailer??

Jawbone is normally where we camp when we go to that area. You can connect to Dove Springs, Cal City, Spangler and every other riding spot out there from Jawbone. Lots of great trails to explore. This is the spot we normally start our 100-140 mile loops.

Not my trailer and yes that was a propane lava rock fire pit thingy!
It actually was just fine, it was one of those things that Dave said Hey let's try this (It is his trailer by the way) We all tried to be the voice of reason but when he lit it and it was working fine...we thought, What the heck!
LMAO!!!!

Fun times.
