I just found my two year old Genesis Supreme toyhauler springs about flat and bushing wore the eff out.  I don’t even carry anything inside the trailer as I double tow.  
 

Sloppy equalizer and leaf spring eye bushings too. 
 

swapped all out for new Dexter springs and installed bronze bushings in eyes.  Along with heavy shackles and greasable bolts.  $1000 and a few hours of work.

That is crazy. Was that one year or ten years to get to that point? I have always wondered why torsion axles are not used on toy haulers? Eliminates all of the linkage, shackles and leaf springs.

higher upfront cost, less wheel travel, lack of equalization over rough terrain, sensitive to trailer pitch and therefore easier to overload, and higher cost of repair? 

I'd take leaf sprung with parts I can see/maintain than the unknown of torsions
