So I am to damn old to remember how long I’ve been lurking around GD.com but it’s been 20ish years. IMHO the logo stays the same modified or totally different will not make or break this site it’s about content the reason I originally became a member because all the great Tec info, build threads, classified ads and the awesome humor has always been a bonus. @RiverDave do what you need to do you can’t please all the people all the time and some people you can’t please any of the time. We the members of GD. Com will either stay or leave personally I don’t plan on going anywhere this is the only forum I return to always. I hate fakebook and the likes. Just make GD.com great again

I recommended a few good ones IMHO. Social Sharing (Xenforo has these tools built in, there are add ons available) and Connected Accounts (Social Media ease of posting).

I also still say that a Snap Chat and TikTok account are huge areas to cross post for visual impact and audience (folks younger then 30)

Get this in place before the SSSS.

I honestly don’t know anything about Snapchat or TikTok but wil look into it. I have a pretty big presence on fb and IG with rdp..

Do you have that crap on Your phone?? I had it for awhile, cause my daughter was using it. We both deleted it off our phones due to the non stop spam messages.

Six months was all I could take. 😜
 
Changing the logo isn't going to miraculously bring traffic to the website. The content is what drives traffic, it's people who search for something and end up here. The problem with this forum is the lack of reliable tech info these days. There would have to be more than the 20 existing members who actually still own sand rails to make the tech section of the forum great again, it is a dying part of duning. There is so much SxS stuff out there that anything found here just adds to the noise. The other issue I have is the constant inside jokes between members, I can only read through so many spanish lover jokes before I have to leave. There has always been the local clique of members, I have never been a part of that, the GD "family" well ok whatever that is. Just my thoughts about the forum in general.

Ya, that's pretty much the death knell for any thread. I've been around since '02 and like to think I'm in on most references but the latin lover shit is beyond me.

As far as the logo that was a suggestion by some of the members I talked to and one of the original advertisers in here to more or less signal a change of things moving forward..

I have some updates for this thread today. It’s the last weekend before the kids go back to school and the wife informed me yesterday that vacation time isn’t over yet so we are prepping once again to roll out.. lol

I'm pretty sure the goal here is go have something that looks cool, and be Easily embroidered on a hat or a shirt.

The RDP logo changed a number of times, before it became what it is today. Nobody came or went when it changed. :)
