Yes and no. Those extremists definitely originate a lot of these ideas...

But the ones who soak it up were raised to believe one thing and one thing only. Any cognitive dissonance or discomfort is to be avoided. As a result, these people see any differing thought as "hate speech", which they then insanely interpret as an act of violence. Shooting a "Nazi" or "bigot" who was "violent" against you is easy.

Debate and argue with your kids. Challenge their thoughts and make them defend it. Expose them to the pain that they will inevitably face in the real world (in an environment where you can observe/guide when necessary). It's the only way we return to what was America.

Here at Work, we are all pretty confident that this was one individual with a point to be made. He likely spent weeks, if not months dialing in his skills for this one shot.

Have you ever seen your kids get pissed before they complete a task asked of them and watch them just knock it out of the ballpark, due to the anger? People can accomplish a lot when pissed off.

As a family we all talked about this Assassination yesterday at dinner. My boys knew Mr. Kirk well, followed him on SM, my daughter did not. She's only seen some of his videos and stated "That's the guy that's pretty aggressive debating topics at Colleges right?"

We stopped right there and talked about her use of the word aggressive. Why do you use the word aggressive, etc. and so on. She came to see that even her use of words placed an unfair opinion of the man, she felt it better to use terms like "confident in his beliefs", "prepared for his debates" vs a word that makes his opponents in a debate seem the "victims".

We all get too comfortable spouting off without much thought on its impact, this has become too common and overly practiced in public and on SM.

I'd definitely use aggressive for some of his debates.

I also don't think that's a bad thing. I will say that I haven't seen a single debate of his where he was unfair or disrespectful unless it was in jest.

I have a good friend who is gay. If you met him, you would never know.

He absolutely HATES all gay parade bullshit, and All of that sorta stuff.

He is the majority for sure. 👍🏼
 
I still can’t believe they shot Charlie of all people.. he is literally the nicest guy and was always respectful to anyone he debated with.

I feel absolutely sick about not only this but it also being 9/11..

A question I haven't heard asked...who was the person that asked the trans shooter question prior to the shot?

Has to be very good video of that. Find that person and put the screws to them.
