Is obesity a requirement for SNAP benefits?

Seems like the majority of people being interviewed regarding the affect of limitations being placed on SNAP benefits are overweight, coincidence?
The correlation between union cards and obesity was established years ago, should union membership / SNAP participation include consumer warnings regarding possible negative side affects?
 
i look at alot of news articles on the MSN home page, big mix of all different types of news. every article that talked about losing snap or losing healthcare the people protesting are all obese, most very obese. never seen a fit person protesting snap or healthcare.
probably the only country that gives people free junk food then pays for their health issues that stem from overeating of junk food.
at least some states are finally starting to ban some junk food and sodas.
they know the correlation but they are too lazy to do anything different. its wrong to suggest the person cooks rather than buying premade frozen junk. or drink water instead of coke. they feel they deserve those foods
obesity is such a giant factor in many health issues.
when someone is a bad driver we dont reward them with free car insurance. so why do we give out free healthcare free junk food to very obese people.
 
when i worked for WIC, the push was great to revamp food stamp approved items, but I don't think with the power of lobbyists behind coke, pepsi, and all those junk food companies, I doubt we will live to see that change. hamburger meat, rice, beans, flour, milk, eggs, cheese etc is what should be on it! make them cook, not just heat and eat. I mean your not working, so why you need hot pockets or frozen pizzas, you aint' got nowhere to be!
 
Where is the video of a fat lazy kid playing video games using his cell phone to call his grandma to bring him a soda and chips....and she brings it.

You create, what you allow and then they are dependent on you for life.

Break the cycle, just say no to handouts and go hustle for a good life.

I'm 100% behind minimum requirements for any government subsidy... snap, wic, farmers, banks, ...any type of handout or bailout of taxpayer funds should come with some benefit to the taxpayers. Community service, indentured servitude, repayment plan, forced weight loss and sterilization, whatever... tired of my money being taxed and given away for votes, especially ones that do not correlate with my personal beliefs.
