New ride for the dune season - Kawi H2

I can’t imagine ever ditching cup holders.. but we do a lot of cruising in the desert out here so they are important for us..

RD
Makes sense. But for me I only drink when I stop, as I’m not drinking with a full faced helmet on. And at least in my RZR the center cup holders mine as well be heated cup holders as everything in them gets warm. I store my drinks in the cooler.

The Kawi 4 seat comes with 8 drink holders.

input on the WB of the 4 seater vs what you are used to? can you imagine a 2 seater with same power?
Wheelbase is perfect. It allows you to skim through the whoops and still carve around the small dunes like a 2 seater. The car is very stable. Way better than my X3.

The 2 seat version is going to be a rocket.

I raced my friend with a 2 seater Pro R up Brawley Slide and I smoked him.

How does it do at Olds? We saw one yesterday and it looked like it struggled a bit, but i didn't notice what tires were on it.

I hit 57 on the speedo going up Olds. This is in not prime conditions as the sand is that wet mash potato stuff. The car does not take off really fast from a dig. Rolling start it takes off. I raced my buddy with a 300 hp Bikeman tune on his two seat Pro R going up Brawley Slide on this mornings ride. From a dead stop he got me and with a little rolling start I beat him by a car length.

The car has plenty of power.

Having a hard time figuring it out in the pic, did the belt blow through the CVT cover?

Yes he blew a belt and part of it knocked a hole in the cover and that’s what you see sticking out.

Kawi needs to make a stronger cover so when a belt does let go you don’t destroy the cover. Because belts will fail time to time.

I have watched a video and getting the cover off is a bit of a puzzle as the shock is in the way. You would think in a ground up new design build Kawi would have made it easier to remove, especially in a field environment.

Yup, the cover removal tolerance is too close. If the car is not level you can’t remove the cover. SS Found out the hard way.
