Please feel free to move this thread if this is not the right location. I figured it only pertains to Sandrails guys. Up until now I have only had dirtbikes at the dunes, and I own an 18’ camper that is not a toyhauler. The bikes always went in the truck. Now with my rail, next season I need something that will fit my rail.

What toyhauler are you guys running, or are your friends running, that fit long travel sandrails? My sandrail is 16’ total length, and will potentially become 6-12” longer. With a rear cage extension.

I’m not interested in doing an RV and enclosed, and want to stick to a truck and separate trailer at this time. I’m not afraid to swap wheels if I need to.

Post pictures if you have them.

Are you wanting to keep the dirt bikes in the bed? If so then bumper pull. Otherwise I’d go a fifth wheel. With that length I’d probably say a fifth wheel in the 37+ foot length.

Genesis 40cr, scu little bro, raptor 90 and a 70. The slide out goes around my front tire. I don't change my tires, but I do strap the front up.

BIL has a WW 4005 or something like like that, its 48' long. His garage fits his extreme double throw down. He got the correct offset not to have to change tires.

What's your widths?

I’m considering a fs3000 type toyhauler, that way I always have the bed space available in addition to the toyhauler space.

I have not purchased wheels yet so I don’t know what the end width will be. The front with the roller wheels and tires is 83” wide strapped.

Guy in our group has a FS3000. I could get measurements but I believe it’s 16 foot to the cabinet. Could back a buggy in with small tires.

Length is the easy one to find, width is what your first hurdle is. Figure the rear with and without skinny tires is. Then start shopping for one you can park in, then adjust length.

I have a FSC2800 and with paddles my Can Am X3 has 1/2" between the wheel wells. If I want to put a rail in there i will not only be using skinny tires I will also have to build a ramp over my wheel wells, in other words the trailer goes by by before the Funco comes home.

Does he fit a rail in there? Does he like the trailer?

if you are looking at a fs30 you will have to back it in with skinny tires, even if you could pull it in it won’t pull right because of the weight needs to be up front

i used to have an FS300 (beofre some asshole stole it) and i could fit a 4 seat buggy in. I would have to droop the front and tie with a strap and then out pizza cutters on to get it to go in-between the wheel wells.

for those saying to back it in, those trailer had a ton of tongue weight, i found it towed better with the car in forward (this was a rear engine V8).

i could also get a full sized quad in front of the car by standing it vertically......AKA banshee.

I have run a genesis 40cr and I now have an attitude 4028dgf. Sand car fit in both trailers with paddles on just had to strap the front for added clearance. Like someone stated before the front tire goes inside the slide area. With my 4028 I also haul my kids rzr 800 up front of the car in the kitchen area and still have room behind the car for my atc 110. I would try and stick with a 5th wheel if you can

If you can find one.... Weekend warrior FB2600 will fit a full size rail. I had to back mine in or the trailer would sway pretty bad.

You will for sure have to back in/winch in.
I had that trailer and once I got a rail, which I drove in straight, I could never get the sway to stop when going over 55mph.
I had anti sway in my hitch etc.
I went to a 5th wheel and never looked back.

You can fit with sand tires on if you can remove the droop from the front and have the correct off sets on your wheels to allow.
I run 10" wide wheels for my paddles. I drive in/out without changing tires. I do have to strap the front end to fit between the wheel wells.

I have a forest river stealth 3217 and I pull my car straight in with paddles. Slide goes around front tire. My car is narrow and if wider it would hit the slide.

What rail did you have at the time you had this trailer? I didn't think one of these would be able to fit a rail. Do you exceed the trailer's GVWR with a rail in it?

I had a FB 26 and my gen 3 Funco, fit in no problem, with a full size quad in it as well. Shortest toy hauler that can fit a full size car.
