After he won the world championship on the north shore of Oahu, my old boss used to ride for a California company in 84, 85 ish time frame. Iirc it was called Dickenson design. At the time they were experimenting with a turbo. When it ran it went way faster than everything else but could not stay together for a whole race.

They had a picture of him coming at the shore and a radar gun and it was clocked at 70 or something nuts. At the time it was hailing ass.
