Let’s see em!

Show your “keep it simple stupid” sand dunes set up. This can be past or current setups you use. In the days of everything being bigger, badder, and better, let’s see some smaller, lightweight, simple camping setups (in the grand scheme of Glamis)

This was when I was running a small 18’ non toyhauler, with two bikes in the bed, towed by my 99 half ton Silverado. We’d run in third gear on the highway and it did great.

been loving the overlander setup

90% of my camping stuff stays in the truck organized in the drawers in the bed (fire pit, bbq, propane, tools, cooking stuff, etc). Bedding stays in the tent even when its closed

Charge some batteries, pack a duffle bag, stop at the grocery store, fuel up, and I'm gone. I lost count how many times I've used it over the last 2 years - I was up to 60 nights

Quads and Toyota's. Doesn't get any more simple than that. I could have a buggy... don't need that shit in my life (don't even want to borrow my Dad's Sand Limo)...

The Overlander setups are cool, but that tent 10 feet in the air and the chineesisum ladder I would have to use....would complicate my trip with a visit to Brawley ER the first night after beers at the campfire going to bed, or worse at 4am when needing piss those said beers.

LMAO

Tents on the ground for me 🧓

Don't forget the fun of your drunk friends taking the ladder after you pass out from said drinking.

I slept in my truck since 2002 until 3 years ago when we got a 5th wheel. My girls slept on the open trailer.
We could get to much better camping with that setup. Still available to me and we talk about doing some of those runs again.
