Any one else having problems with push lock hose ?
I buy from a reputable shop so its good ….

But it gets hard as hell and starts cracking .
I replaced all my hose ( only a couple years old ) and it has done it again .

Any one else out there see this ?

In the marine business, we have to use quality hose, with some even being coast guard approved for passenger carrying. Trident Marine has a good spread on various push on hose types.

Here is one for example.

Run thru their site and if you have any questions let me know. The small order comes in boxes at 50ft. Some marine retailers may sell by the ft.

if its for fuel lines, the ethanol content in pump gas eats them in a couple years anymore.

i had a 540 ci jet boat motor failure because of that crap ill never use it again. Let a guy borrow my boat for a weekend. Guess it popped off and he didn’t notice. Smoked the engine!

What hose

I use the Aeroquip pushlock
it looks like spiral hydraulic hose, mine is around 10 year old, no issue

is it the Aeroquip you are using

Xrp pushlock
I had a failure of the push lock hose that CBM sells and thank god it was down low before my post pump filter or I would have likely lost the car to fire. Replaced everything with the XRP that Kartek sells, and also put Oetiker clamps at every fitting for extra precaution. On my hose failure, the hose didn't split, it lost all elasticity and just fell off the fitting.

Hopefully I get more than a couple seasons out of the XRP stuff, that is all I got out of the CBM junk.

Not recommended for fuel

excels with all fuels except for E85 and Methanal, i run 91 so far my hose is around 12 years old, Looks the same no issues, should replace all hose at this age but still going strong

I ran it with E85. I think I looked on the aeroquip website for the details. It I did verify.
