Been wanting to get into another sand car since I sold my SU Sand Pro 2 mid engine 2 years ago. Have always loved the Alumicraft cars. Mission accomplished yesterday as I stumbled into the absolute perfect car for me. Nice light 2250 pound car with class 10 suspension components and doors so...
Have someone well versed in suspension geometry look at it for you. You probably would be adding bump steer unless your car was originally set up incorrectly.
To get the Mav R is $2900 membership and $1000 a month. It might be worth it if you were going to come in and spend 2 weeks at the dunes and then never go again. I wonder if the cars delivered to Glamis have paddles and enough lights for a night ride.
When the BK liquidation comes, imma buy a 4 seat one for 10 cents on the dollar and drop a turbo K Honda in it with a 10 speed auto trans and Winters rear diff. Throw away the front diff bulkhead thingy and replace with a billet piece to hold the suspension parts.
