Just returned from a 10 day trip. This was our 2nd annual dune trip to Idaho. Camped at Idaho Dunes RV Park. We also trailered up the Harleys and headed to Cody Wyoming for a few days of epic riding after leaving the dunes. Drove the RV's through Jackson Hole, Grand Tetons and Yellowstone Park to get to Cody. It was an adventure. We set up base camp in the Walmart parking lot for 2 days as we rode some of the best roads in the country. Checked off Chief Joseph Hwy and Beartooth Pass from my bucket list. Ended the trip with a dinner show and the Cody Night Rodeo. Overall had great weather and a lot of fun. Looking forward to doing it again next year.20250718_083715.jpg20250721_172010.jpgMessenger_creation_1A4262BF-41A1-4F7D-B183-27CC7C5D3EA5.jpegMessenger_creation_5E2C56EF-8514-4213-8371-F0D9C62432CF.jpegMessenger_creation_BD3621F7-6E7E-4E68-B712-8A937E5178D2.jpegMessenger_creation_1A4262BF-41A1-4F7D-B183-27CC7C5D3EA5.jpegMessenger_creation_53D1B984-B8FB-498B-BB44-7FEA807DF978.jpegMessenger_creation_56B039AC-32A9-4F55-8D40-ECC533AC55FB.jpeg7783989427204974104.jpg8141459896739021553.jpg1341051488044946900.jpg610626848313911194.jpg6062797831094070097.jpg786570782293451690.jpg8715035896557228186.jpg20250723_142835.jpg20250723_141258.jpg20250723_135329.jpg20250723_135222.jpg20250723_133150.jpg20250723_133135.jpg20250723_131510.jpg20250723_122012.jpg20250723_121156.jpg20250723_121054.jpg20250723_170531.jpg20250723_170613.jpg20250723_194804.jpg20250723_194536.jpg

Bucket list for sure. Beautiful

Been wanting to do the Chief Joseph hwy and Beartooth pass in the C8 for a while now. Was it crowded?
Another ride from Cody that is fun is from Ten Sleep to Buffalo. Scenic and curvy.

It was nice. Not too many cars up there. There were more bikes than anything. I wish me had more time. Would have loved to do the 14 and 14a loop. We did go through Thermopolis and Wind River canyon on the way home but that was in the motorhome, so not the same.

Back to Idaho Dunes RV. We looked at Sand Hills but that place looks run down now.

Makes sense. The camping on that side of the dunes has been there for decades. We ended up dry camping on a hill, because we had such a huge group.

We were out exploring the dunes and the hills most of the time we were there, so we really didn't care where we camped. :P

Not sure if you can get here in a buggy, but on the far side of the dunes, there is a place called The Stairs. Once you get all the way up there, you had a great view of the dunes.
