Been going to Silverwood Lake for years...on Bikes it was always a blast, but really fun in SXS's though too.
especially after a rain and the hope that there is snow. That is the best....clean off roading! :lmao:
Well....no snow to be had and our trip was was cut short.
If any of you are familiar with the ride...we park by the dam at Silverwood lake then take the trails all the way up to Pinnacles Staging area.
From there its a cool ride to Deep Creek then over to Devil's hole.
Well, to get to Pinnacles, you have to take the trail by the Water Sewage/Treatment Plant. Kind of tight trails, a little technical but nothing crazy!
Well, they put up a barrier that only let's Bikes, Quads or any sxs 50" wide or less! WTF??? :kenk:
There is a road that leads out to the main hwy that could take you straight to Pinnacles, but you'd be on the road for about 2 miles...not worth it.
That just cut off 2/3rds of our ride. BOGUS!!!
It's not worth the drive up to Arrowhead to park at Pinnacles Staging to then only do Deep Creek and Devils Hole. Too long of a drive for only that.
I got to the Dam in 45 minutes from my house.
So, We most likely are crossing this off our list of riding spots.
Anyways, here are a few pics!
Was cold, but not too bad, pretty muddy, rutted and some huge water crossings.
Got home, got it all cleaned up and ready for the next trip!
