On January 15, 1978 Super Bowl XII was played at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Denver Broncos 27–10 to win their second Super Bowl. This was the first Super Bowl in a domed stadium. The Cowboys “Doomsday Defense” dominated most of Super Bowl XII, forcing 8 turnovers and allowing only 8 pass completions by the Broncos for just 61 yards. For the first and only time, 2 players won Super Bowl MVP honors: Dallas’ defensive tackle Randy White (on his 25th birthday) and defensive end Harvey Martin.
