I was thinking it would be helpful to see new (or even old) legislation information.   this thread is not intended to be used for discussion about topics, just a central location for links & information about proposed laws, current laws & litigation of laws (both @ the state & federal level).  if there is something in one of these posts that tickles your fancy, create a thread for discussion.

This thought also applies to the marksmanship video's thread.  really a repository for a number of links to interesting finds & information.

Here is a video of SB1160, brought to you by senator Portantino.  this is some BS........

the efftards are ruining our state more by the day...

AB1263 has been a huge pain on the neck.... I wanted to buy a recoil spring for the CZ that the state knows I own..... this law is going to be VERY expensive for aome folks. If you find someone who will deal with California's non-sense you have to pay extra for shipping because you have to sign for the package and show you are the peraon who ordered the part. I dont have that kind of time...

SB704 makes it more difficult to buy barrels, which are not serialized nor controlled items.... now you have to have them delivered to an FFL. Not the end of the world but still more expense.

some of this stuff is beyond believable.

I just transferred three pistols from my AZ house to my CA house. I'm getting my CA CCW and I can have up to three pistols, which is why I did it. I talked to a fellow member at our gun club and the easiest way to do this is gift them to my son in CA from my AZ address and he then gifts them to me in CA. Downside is we have to do the DROS twice. But he was being a little bitch about it so I went a different route. My daughter was all for it but doesn't turn 21 until Jan 2027 and I can't wait that long.

I talked to a nice lady at Burbank Guns and Ammo and she walled me through the process. I set up an account on CFARS. I entered the information including my 'old' AZ and 'new' CA addresses, all pistol information and a pic of my CA drivers license. Pretty straight forward and only $19 for all three pistols. A week later the CA DOJ emailed me that they needed pics of the pistols and were very specific asking for the slide to be open, trigger, and serial number. I was limited on the website to 6 pics which wasn't enough for what they asked for. I submitted it regardless. A week later they emailed asking for pics of the Airweight .38. I did that, not knowing if it was even CA legal.

No shit I got a letter today from the CA DOJ (Rob Bonta) saying all three pistols were now registered in my name in CA. I'm stoked but seriously surprised at the same time. With all he stupid CA laws I was able to 'transfer' three pistols into this state. And one is a Shadow Systems MR920 9mm, which I assumed was a part of the Glock ban. Guess not.

I still get nervous when I see a black Suburban drive by my house.

They knew that you were going to bring them with you regardless so they might as well get the serial #'s on record and where thier located :)
Glad it went through smooth for ya, sometimes we get lucky

I'm looking to buy my first Aye-Rrghh...

Ruger Harrier AR-15

I'm told there is a CA Complaint version, but its a fixed 10 cap magazine? How do you even reload etc.

Could I buy in NV or AZ and then...?
