Generators what do you like

Ya, non-inverter / open frame Generators will always be on the loud side....haven't personally seen or heard the Champion 4500 Invertor Gen but it looks like a good size / power with wireless remote which is really nice option when camping.

Really wish Honda would come out with something in-between their EU3000iS / EU3200i and EU7000iS Invertor Generators they are missing an entire market in the 4000 to 5000 watt range that most RVr's are looking for.
 
If I had to replace my Predator 5000.....I would seriously consider the Cummins Onan P4500i Invertor Generator....Very quiet, long run time, wireless remote control and comes in @ 98 lbs.....only negative I see on this Gen is not being Dual Fuel.

The GenMax 7500 enclosed inverter is LOUD.
Touted as quiet, it isn't.

I only bring it if we are boondocking and need to run two AC's. Short stroke so had a hard time charging the wifes EV during the blackouts.

The Trailers Yamaha powered RV generator is ridiculous for many reasons,, I don't even want to consider running it except at a roadside rest for the microwave.

The Predator 3500 in our situations is the best all around,,, and soo quiet.

We have one too.
Berts used to give a buyer parts dept script coupons when ya bought rolling stock.
I saved them up and bought the Honda back when it was the only thing available.
Smooth and quiet!

Always loves a new spark plug.
 
If the Honda I’m going to look at is as clean and low use as he says I’m going to buy it. If not I’ll start looking at other options again.
 
the Yamaha 4500 inverter generator is super quiet and I would assume can run the loads you need. I have one as a backup I keep in the garage, it is impressive how quiet it is. Thing has about 950+ hours and still runs great. Lent it out to a friend during the fires as he was without power and he said it didn't skip a beat for the 3-4 days he used it.

How do you like the Wen? I’m looking at the Wen 3600 dual fuel one, as it’s still portable enough to load in a truck or take somewhere, but has the 30 amp plug so I could plug into my house panel and run necessities during an outage.

+1 for the Yamaha gens. I have a little 2kw that is super handy to have around and for hunting trips. Super quiet and very reliable. I don't think you can go wrong with a Yamaha or Honda honestly.

I liked it a lot. It’s portable but I’m strong. I can put it in the back of my truck. My wife who works out every day can’t lift it very high. It’s quieter than the predators. It has a setting to run itself out of gas for long term storage too.
 
I've had many portable generators over the past 45 years, and the one thing I've learned is, stick with name brands. When it comes time for parts, they're available. I've had Yamahas which are great generators, but they are even hard to get parts for. The others are just disposable. As far as portables go, nothing but Hondas for me. Pay once, cry once.
 
Keep in mind all of these gens need valve adjust. Normal is 300 hours. I had 2 Honda 3000 hit valves for lack of doing it. My bad. It is a pain to do on Hondas.
Dam Hondas do not have a hour meter. Easy to loose track of how much time on them.

The 7k I’m looking at does have an hour meter. Maybe because it’s a larger one 🤷‍♂️
