In need of VW PBS S4 bell housing.

I just bought a rebuilt PBS s4 tranny that came with a chevy bell housing. I need a VW bell housing since I run a Honda V6. Any change anyone out there has a PBS bell housing laying around or wants to swap there tranny over to the LS bell housing and take advantage of the bigger clutch? The bell housing Weddle make do not fit the PBS so it must be PBS specific.

Facebook Marketplace. I ran across this listing a few weeks ago. Just found it again. Seller says can switch this PBS V8 back over to a VW housing. My guess he has the housing you need.

What about the rebuilder sticker on the trans. Maybe that shop has one.

Have you called Weddle yet?

There is a slight possibility they have one hanging in the back of the shop with the used parts. I converted a PBS to a Weddle S5 a few years back, I can't remember if the customer got the parts back, or if I put them in the back of the shop.

Just saw a PBS case with the VW bell housing on FB marketplace this weekend. Post says new case used for mock ups.. $2k Posted in Riverside but located in Temecula.

Sean it will need a input shaft also, is that correct,

Yes, but I think the standard Mendi/Weddle 18-spline input shaft works for them. Not 100% positive.

Crap, so I need a input shaft and the bell housing. What else do I need? Is replacing the input shaft easy or will a tranny shop need to do it?
