Only see shops in AZ, Im in SoCal so who's making them here?

Toys For Big Boys are in Riverside and they make some nice ones.

Thad at Fabwerx makes the nicest cage in So. CA.

Brian at Long Travel Industries makes a nice cage.

welcome to Can Am life!

My Buddy Just bought a SF raceworks cage for his Mav R

My buddy owns UTV speed in Riverside and they make nice cages as well. Used to have the contract for Bert’s custom builds.

TFBB- Toys for Big boys. Kevin has been building my cages since 08. Never had an issue. Most newer builders copy his cages with crappier quality. IMHO

Thad at Fabwerx is solid as well.

can check out first 2 engage racing in riverside. i know he does can am cages just not sure if he does the R

Kevin at toys for big boys is your guy. No hype just safety and quality. If you want bragging rights and long wait times fabwerx and SF are your go too’s at a markup.  Steer clear or ready to engage, shaves a couple bucks but side by side comparison and you’ll regret the savings

I checked out TFBB at sand show. Was not impressed as they do not even reinforce the rear of the cage the currently goes to lala land.

Who is actively making one for the 4 seat MavR that is getting to the dealerships this week?

Alsup racing makes that cage and you will pay a lot for it. He makes top notch stuff and is race tested/proven.

The SDR cage I saw at the Sand Show for the Maverick R was simple and nice. What I liked is the intrusion bar and dash bar bolted in so you could remove it when you need to access the dash area.

Best bang for your buck is Cagewrx. If you know how to weld or know someone that will do it for you the weld-it yourself kit is the way to go.

LSK also makes a nice cage.

Sadly Thad has closed up his shop and Fabwerx is no more.

I thought I heard he sold it? But to who? No idea?

Something had to be been going on for awhile, as he was booming, and had a wait list. Then all of the sudden he decided to cut way back and only do a few basic cages, and nothing custom. I figured he was doing other more lucrative fabrication? Then I heard he stopped all together, and I think it was at the Sand Show I heard someone saying he sold his shop? Maybe they meant the equipment or the building, if he even owned it?

Either way he had a nice product and it’s a bummer to see it go away.

He sold all the equipment. I believe he is doing fab work with a company that does studio (film/TV) work. Steady income and no stress of dealing with a business and employees.

Maybe he will sell his cage design files to someone local. He made the nicest cages.
